Most drivers are looking for a tire that performs year-round, so is this one the right tire for you? Let’s take a look at this Cooper Evolution Tour review.

    Features and Benefits

All-season tires perform well in areas that receive moderate temperatures year-round. As an all-season tire, the Cooper Evolution Tour is designed for sedans, CUVs, and SUVs. It offers drivers superior handling, cornering, and stability, along with a 65,000 mile limited tread life warranty. All-season tires are also known to offer better rolling resistance for enhanced fuel economy. Let’s take a look at the Cooper Evolution Tour tire review to help understand all its features and benefits at a glance:

    • Increased tread life: The Evolution Tour features an easy cross-rotation that helps resist irregular wear from the molded symmetric pattern.
    • Responsive handling: This tire comes with 3D Micro-Gauge sipes allowing responsive handling and strong grip.
    • Reduced hydroplaning: The open shoulder slots on the Evolution Tour make sure to reduce the chance of hydroplaning even when tires are worn.
    • Enhanced traction: Four wide channels provide outstanding control in wet conditions and balance on slippery roads by providing additional traction.
    • Optimized steering response: The Stabiledge Technology enhances handling and dry traction stability delivering confident vehicle handling.
    • Reduced noise: The innovative tread pattern helps deliver a quiet and comfortable ride for its passengers and drivers.

The wheel size ranges from 14-inch to 15-inch, which makes it an ideal choice for compact cars, mid-size sedans, performance sedans, coupes, minivans, and crossovers. Additionally, it is backed by Cooper’s 65,000 mile limited manufacturer tread life warranty.

    Pros and Cons

The Evolution Tour indeed is a great tire that offers drivers excellent traction and handling performance year-round. But is this really what your vehicle needs? Before deciding to buy the Cooper Evolution Tour or not, let’s first drill down on a few factors that can help you decide whether or not the tire is right for you.

    • Four wide channels provide superior grip year-round
    • Stabiledge Technology enhances handling and dry traction stability

While Cooper makes a good claim about Evolution Tour’s performance, some shortcomings may divide opinions.

    • The ride is firmer than its closest premium competitors
    • Tread noise is a slight issue on rough pavement
    • Not ideal for use on icy surfaces
    • Only available for passenger vehicles

SimpleTire’s view on Cooper Evolution Tour tires

The Evolution Tour provides confident all-season traction and responsive highway handling, with a long-lasting tread life. As an all-season tire, it is ideal for use in dry, wet, and light snow conditions. This tire features four grooves within the tread to remove water from the road for added hydroplaning resistance, and the Evolution Tour also features ribs and grooves within the tread that allow for precise handling. Built with a 3D Micro-Gauge sipes and Stabiledge technology, these Cooper tires deliver responsive handling and strong grip, no matter the weather. Evolution Tour offers a quiet, comfortable ride. The durable all-season compound promotes great vehicle handling and increased hydroplaning resistance. Going by SimpleScore this tire has a great average score of 8.6 out of 10, which includes scores of 8.4 for longevity, 8.5 for handling, and 8.9 in traction.

Although the Cooper Evolution Tour is a great choice for all-season touring tires, if you want a tire that gives you similar performing capabilities at a lower price and you are willing to compromise on tread life warranty, you can consider Yokohama Avid Touring-S tire.

Used these tires on a 03 Mini. After a short break in period, tires performed very good on dry pavement. Wet weather was also good. Very quiet and nice ride performance. The stiffer outer edge of the tire helps with quick turn maneuvers. I have found that previous Cooper tires will become noisy when they near the end of there life span. But a good tire for the money.

Installed them just before NE Ohio winter and when we have had snowy roads, have been outstanding in the snow. The aggressive treads don't really add much road noise and ride is fine although their on a lifted Jeep XJ. Haven't put more than 3000 miles on them so, it's hard to tell tread wear. They do wear evenly so far. Balanced well and goes down the road nice. Highly recommended!

Always like cooper tires. Purchased them when I could. Simple tire always proved to be the best price and best delivery. I would highly recommend both the tires and this company. I have also purchased trailer tires from this company. Again with total satisfaction.
