This Amercius RD3000 review takes you through the features and benefits, strengths and weaknesses, available sizes, and our verdict on this tire, concluded based on SimpleScore. So, read on and find out if the RD3000 can be the right fit for your application.
Features and Benefits
The Americus RD3000 is a commercial tire that is made for use on drive axle positions, also known as the torque axle positions. A set of these tires is mounted to boost traction performance on various surfaces. With an advanced tread design and innovative features, the RD3000 serves optimally during regional and short-distance hauling. Let’s take a look at the advanced features and their corresponding benefits that award a high Americus RD3000 rating.
- Longer tread life – The tire sports a proven tread block pattern that ensures increased mileage. Its tread block tie bars control tread movement to prevent irregular wear and tearing, thus promoting a long-lasting tread life.
- Improved stability – All thanks to the tread block tread pattern, the stability of the RD3000 is improved to allow confident drives at high speeds during regional or short-distance hauling. Additionally, wider and flat footprint of RD3000 also helps in maintaining surefootedness.
- Dependable year-round traction – The re-engineered block and shoulder sipes present on the tread boost year-round traction. Additionally, the big-sized grooves present between the tread blocks force water and dirt out of the contact patch area for better traction and grip.
- Solid damage resistance – The RD3000 is built tough and features a reinforced damage-resisting casing that allows the tire to hold its original shape even with higher load capacities. Likewise, the rubber compound of this tire is durable enough and prevents cuts, chips, and other damages.
- Increased load-carrying capacity – The sturdy sidewalls and reinforced casing of the RD3000 provide greater strength to the tire to haul higher load capacities. Tread blocks of the tire absorb driving pressures and also spread driving forces across the profile to ease the load-carrying capacity.
- Maximized self-cleaning – The wider gaps between the blocks and presence of increased number of grooves on the tread optimize self-cleaning for better traction performance.
The Americus RD3000 is offered in 19.5-inch wheel diameter and its available sizes include:

Really good tires. Low price.
These tires have done very well in mud on job sites as well as the roads, we also plow snow and they have done great there to
Tires were installed on a commercial truck. No complaints from the drivers.
Great tire considering the price. Speed rated around 80mph and starts to wobble and vibrate a bit when you approach that speed. I have them mounted on my 2016 Ram dually used to transport cars. Was not at all impressed with wet pavement & concrete braking performance. It was scary the first time I brakes hard in the rain on the Interstate. I ended up swerving into the emergency lane to avoid hitting the fella in front of me. I give myself twice the room now in the rain when loaded.
