A solid center tread rib, stiff shoulder blocks, and an independent tread groove toward the shoulder all add up to great steering response, cornering, and braking, meriting a SimpleScore of a solid 9.1 for handling. A combination of sipes, circumferential and lateral/angled grooves deliver great grip on wet or dry pavement, for a SimpleScore of 9.1 for traction. All in all, the GT Radial Maxtour LX is a tire that matches great value with performance, with quick, predictable handling and a quiet, forgiving ride.
