If you’ve got a light truck, SUV, or crossover, there are a lot of choices for all-season tires on the market. So many choices that it can be a little overwhelming, but the Thunderer Ranger SUV HT603 is a tire that’s really worthy of your consideration.
The Ranger SUV HT603 is an all-season tire for light trucks and SUVs that delivers dependable traction year-round, predictable handling, long, even wear, and a ride that’s quiet, comfortable, and forgiving. Best of all, perhaps, it comes with a generous tread life warranty – one that’s a lot better than a lot of tires at this price point.
Don’t believe us? Let’s take a deeper dive in this Thunderer Ranger SUV HT603 review:
Features and Benefits
Most drivers only use one set of tires, which makes all-season tires a popular choice thanks to their year-round traction and performance. Fortunately, Thunderer knows this and designed the Ranger SUV HT603 with specific technologies to allow for consistent performance in dry, wet, and light winter weather conditions. Here’s what the tire has:
- Advanced tread compound for long wear and durability
- Slotted shoulder delivers good cornering ability and efficient evacuation of water to resist hydroplaning
- 5-rib all-season tread pattern with deep circumferential grooves that resist hydroplaning and channel water away from tire’s contact patch
- Angled grooves and dense sipe pattern enhance wet or dry-weather traction
- Tread pitch is randomized and computer-tuned to help suppress road noise
Available in T-, H-, and V-speed rated sizes, the Ranger SUV HT603 is backed by a 60,000 mile limited manufacturer tread life warranty and is covered by Thunderer’s No Questions Asked, 25/365 free replacement policy.
Pros and Cons
So, is this the right tire for you and your budgets? Let’s take a look at the Ranger SUV HT603’s strengths:
PROS:
- Affordable price
- Best-in-class tread life warranty plus a No Questions Asked, 25/365 warranty
- Long wear
- Reliable traction on wet or dry pavement
Unfortunately, no tire is perfect and that’s true for the Ranger SUV HT603:
CONS:
- Not intended for use in moderate to severe winter weather conditions
- Could be quieter
- Not the most fuel efficient tire
SimpleTire’s view on Thunderer Ranger SUV HT603 tires
Most people who drive light trucks, SUVs, and crossovers are going to do just fine with an all-season tire. All-season tires are a great balance of year-round traction, good road manners, solid, predictable handling, long wear, ride comfort and low noise. In other words, most drivers of light trucks and SUVs seldom go off the pavement and need a tire that’s going to meet the needs of daily driving, commuting and road trips.
It’s a crowded field, but we really feel that the Thunderer Ranger SUV HT603 can deliver the goods. The Ranger SUV HT603 gets the job done; of course it could do better in heavier snow (you can say the same for most all-season tires), but it offers consistent traction on wet or dry pavement or light snow, and you can count on it for excellent ride comfort and low noise. Thunderer is confident enough about the Ranger SUV HT603 that it’s covered by a 60k mile treadwear warranty, the kind of coverage you usually only see on light truck/SUV tires that cost much more.
Vehicles the Thunderer Ranger SUV HT603 is a good replacement tire for
Light trucks, SUVs, and CUVs are some of the most common vehicles on the road today, so finding a set of tires that meets and exceeds their needs becomes a must. If you drive a Buick Encore, Chevrolet Equinox, Ford Ranger, GMC Acadia, Honda CR-V, Hyundai Santa Fe, Mazda CX-3, Subaru Outback, or Toyota Tacoma, then this is a tire you might want to consider.

These tires are better than the Michelin pair I had. Plus the Michelin's cost a lot more and were loud. These tires are so quiet, I'm amazed! They ride smoothly on the highway and handle very well. I will be buying these from now on!
I was only able to use them for 24 hours on my CRV. My car was totaled the next day. But there wasn't any road noise and in dry pavement they were great.
So far these tires seem great for the money. On my F-150
Excellent tores and Excellent service
I usually don't write reviews mostly because I figure nobody ever really spending the time to read all of them and that everything has probably been cover everything about the product anyway but, these are really nice tires for the money. They do make a slight humming noise but, for the money you can't beat them. These tires really made my ride comfortable again! I told my dad about the tire's i bought he has a 2016 Ford F150 that he'll be putting them on. These tire's hasn't been in a winter therefore i'm rating three stars for know.
Very satisfied so far. Only had for a short time. Will update later as time goes by.
