Nokian is a Finnish-based tire maker that’s known for their innovation and attention to quality. Considering how snowy Finland is, it shouldn’t be a surprise that Nokian specializes in winter tires and all-weather tires that are designed to excel in winter conditions. The WR G4 is no exception, combining high-performance handling, all-season traction and dependable winter traction, for a true all-weather tire for a variety of coupes, sedans, and minivans.
So, what is it that makes this tire a standout performer? Let’s dive in and take a closer look in this Nokian WR G4 review.

SimpleTire’s view on Nokian WR G4 tires
All-weather tires are a fairly new category, and that’s where the Nokian WR G4 lands. So what’s the difference between all-weather and all-season?
All-weather tires are designed to be able to handle anything, from dry desert asphalt to heavy snow and slush and anything in between. All-weather tires might not do as well as dedicated winter tires in deep snow, but they’ll do their best and will outperform all-season tires when the winter weather hits. The WR G4 checks all these boxes, with outstanding performance year-round, a surprisingly quiet ride and handling that rivals the best performance-oriented all-season tires. This is a tire that we just can’t recommend strongly enough, and we set the bar pretty high for that kind of thing. Nokian is a company that isn’t afraid to break with tradition and put some real innovation and forward-thinking design into their products, and the WR G4 is proof.
Vehicles the Nokian WR G4 is a good replacement tire for
The WR G4 is a passenger tire that’s meant for coupes, sedans, and minivans. If you’re in the market for a tire that offers better year-round performance than an all-season tire and drive a Chevrolet Malibu, Chrysler Pacifica, Ford Fusion, Honda Civic, Hyundai Sonata, Kia Carnival, Mazda3, Nissan Sentra, Toyota Corolla, or Volkswagen Jetta, then this is a tire that you might want to consider.

On my 2022 Taos with this tire are perfect for here Colorado
I have yet to drive in the winter with these tires but so far they have been great! They are smooth and quiet. Simple tires was also great to work with. The tires came within a few days with a recent Manufacture date. I would highly recommend! I will definitely use them again in the future.

I couldn't ask for more form these tires, I know there is a newer version out, but I can't imagine what they improved. Though, I haven't had the chance to use them in the snow, but everything else has been superior, so I can't imagine it will be any less spectacular.
Havent had a chance to drive them in the snow yet, but im expecting them to be great. Ride much better than my previous goodyears, and they are quiet.
My car got quieter, feels lighter to drive, and behaves excellent on snow. I seek out snow and ice now because it is fun to drive on.
Testing the waters with Nokian Tires, first time I've had them. Can definitely say they are smooth and quiet, I'm very satisfied with my choice. I can really hear the difference between the continental in the front vs the Nokians in the rear. I'll be purchasing the next 2 shortly, I've only put about 5k on the tires so I can't say much on the longevity on the tread just yet.
