  • Nexen N'Priz AH5

Nexen Tire Corporation, established in 1942, is a tire manufacturer that is proud to have supported the tire industry for the previous 80 years. The words ‘Next’ and ‘Century’, two future-focused words, are combined to form the name Nexen. Thus, it demonstrates Nexen's desire and resolve to uphold their brand promise to investigate cutting-edge technologies and create secure and environmentally friendly products for families and individuals.

The Nexen N’Priz AH5 is an all-season tire that provides better handling and cornering all year long. These tires are best suited for passenger vehicles such as coupes, sedans, CUVs, SUVs, and minivans.

However, is this tire best for your car and your wallet? Let's take a look at a Nexen N’Priz AH5 review to see if it's the right tire for you.

    Features and Benefits

Many drivers choose all-season tires because you don't need to change them twice a year. If you are looking for tires that perform admirably in most conditions, learn about the features and benefits of Nexen N’Priz AH5 tires as they provide better handling and braking on both warm and cold roads.

    • Enhanced all-season traction: Because of the dual kerf tread design, the tire promotes excellent dry, wet, and light winter weather traction. In order to keep water from getting under the tire, the tread pattern also has four large circumferential grooves that force water out of the tread for better wet traction and hydroplaning resistance.
    • Increased tread life: Additionally, the unique dual kerf tread pattern enhances tread block stiffness and prevents the tread elements from moving while driving, which significantly reduces the rate of tread wear. In addition, it evenly distributes the forces of cornering, braking, and acceleration across the tread area, which lessens the load on the tire. Since the tire is less stressed and is not concentrated in one area of the tread area the tread wear rate is slow and irregular wear patterns do not develop across the tread area. This prolongs the tire's useful life and tread life by preventing premature tire wear and ensuring uniform tread wear.
    • Enhanced cornering skills: The rigid shoulder tread blocks of the N’Priz AH5 make the tire easier to control. Year-round, these tread elements provide additional biting edges and hold onto the road surface for improved road traction, steering response, driving stability, and cornering ability.
    • Precise steering responsiveness: When responding to the driver's commands, the tire's steering responsiveness improves and is stabilized against the driving pressure that is affecting it. Due to the increased cornering power brought on by the extra road grip, the cornering ability and power are also enhanced. As a result, the tire is easier to control throughout the year.
    • Reduced road noise levels: While rigid shoulder blocks improve cornering and handling, they also provide a quiet, comfortable ride for passengers and drivers. Furthermore, the rigidity of the shoulder tread design reduces road noise heard in the vehicle's cabin while the tires are in motion. This is accomplished because the tread elements do not shift and do not produce road noise. Airwaves are channeled through the tread area without colliding with the tread elements, resulting in a comfortable and enjoyable drive.

    Pros and Cons

So, is it a good fit for your coupes, sedans, CUVs, or minivans? Before giving our final opinion let’s see its Pros and Cons:

    • All-season tread pattern to offer better traction in dry, wet, and light winter weather conditions
    • Backed by a 50,000 mile limited manufacturer tread life warranty.
    • Four wide, longitudinal grooves drain water from the tread to reduce the risk of hydroplaning and improve wet road performance.
    • Nexen's Total Coverage Warranty includes a tread life warranty, a road hazard replacement warranty for 2 years or the first 3/32" of the tire, and 36 months of roadside assistance.
    • A rigid shoulder block to enhance cornering and handling performance
    • The dual kerf design improves block stiffness and mileage.

Despite having all of these features and benefits, this tire could be better in some areas, such as:

    • Snow performance is limited, but this is to be expected of an all-season tire
    • Handling is responsive but could be improved

    SimpleTire’s view on Nexen N'Priz AH5 tires

    Nexen N'Priz AH5

If you're looking for a unique all-season tire, the Nexen N'Priz AH5 is a great choice. In comparison to the Cooper CS4 Touring and the GT Radial Maxtour All Season, the Nexen N'Priz AH5 provides superior traction, handling, and performance all year. Furthermore, while the Nexen N'Priz AH5 is slightly more expensive than the GT Radial Maxtour All Season and roughly the same price as the Cooper CS4 Touring, it comes with a mileage warranty and superior performance. Because of its affordability and better performance, the Nexen N'Priz AH5 is a great option for an all-season tire.

Vehicles the Nexen N'Priz AH5 is a replacement tire for

I drove from Topeka Kansas to the SF Bay Area and back with these tires on a Toyota Sienna mini van. The tires are quiet which is a plus on a long drive. They held the curves well and the van didn't jump around in the wind. I installed the tires in July so no comment on wet or snowy pavement yet. So far the tires are great.

I have these on both our 1999 Suburban 2wd and an old 1984 Chrysler Fifth Avenue. They are better suited to the old Chrysler, but perform adequately on the heavy suburban. Albeit you won't want to tow much as the sidewalls are pretty soft and they squish down quick. They seem to be wearing well and haven't made any noise on either vehicle in 10k combined driving. Simpletire has been my go to for the last 5 sets of tires and I feel this will continue.

Beautiful tires. Ride quality is amazing, barely any road noise. Ordered these for my mothers Mazda CX5, drove it around for a bit, handles amazingly. Took it on a road trip already with alot of rain, drove like it was dry ðŸ'

I have 2 vehicles with simple tires. They have only been on for a month or 2 so I can't give a complete review. I am not sure I would buy again until I hit 30,000 miles, then I would review them

2000 E150 Custom Van/ Approx 5750#.. Replaced Mich P235/75r/15 LT4 with 8/32nd tread. 1st thing I noticed was they measured 6.5" instead of 7.5" tread footprint. Mich max pres.35#, very mushy with a total of 4" more drag from extra width. These tires stand up proud at 35# {will try 38# later}, no slop roll or sway at all. Drove in Ozark hills & lane & a half goat trails here in Mo. Ice, snow, rain, wind, very impressed with all around tract & handling. Wind didn't blow van noticeably & noise was way down. I thought Mich tires were good but these were 10yrs. old & weathered, wow what an improvement with these Nexen tires. I haven't figured how these are made any different to make them have good miles, BUT with the response of the vehicle & ease of handling I expect to to improve mpg from 16 city/18 hwy ; ; ; to 18 city/ 20 hwy All around good value & a lot safer tire than the old Michs. Have been driving vans only since 1971 & have never been so comfortable with the way they handle, until now. Nexen tires have certainly stepped up the game with this one. Glad to see the white wall coming back, sure looks better than the stupid raised letter advertising. Positive & sure footed, $60 ea mounted/balanced>>>out the door...

They are quiet. Handle reasonably well and so far have slightly better mileage than her previous set. Cost effective. Very happy!
