SimpleTire’s view on Maxxis ML1 Carnivore tires

Maxxis continues to push the limits of ATV tire technology, design, and performance with the Maxxis ML1 Carnivore. The ML1 Carnivore is designed around a damage-resistant casing and tread formulation that stands up to scrapes, abrasions, punctures, and cuts, making it perfect for rocks, logs, roots, and difficult terrain. Its extra-deep lug tread is designed for versatile traction, with wraparound lugs at the shoulder, and its light truck-inspired design means great handling and braking performance. The Maxxis ML1 Carnivore is designed for 18 psi inflation, but it can be used aired-down to conform and get excellent traction for rock crawling. Control and response are confident without being touchy and overly sensitive.

Maxxis designed the ML1 Carnivore around the weight, power, torque, and handling properties of modern ATVs and UTVs, with sizes up to 32” available (on a 14” rim). The large void between tread blocks ensures good cleanout of mud and debris, and the ML1 Carnivore’s handling exhibits none of the tippy, top-heavy feeling that can come from taller tires and large, deep lugs.

With a build quality that’s nothing short of phenomenal, tenacious grip on a variety of surfaces and conditions, and a casing that can withstand multiple punctures at once, the Maxxis ML1 Carnivore is one tough tire that’s ready for the most extreme terrain and use you can dream up. According to SimpleScore, the Maxxis ML1 Carnivore gets scores of 9.0 for traction, 9.0 for longevity, 9.5 for handling, and an overall composite score of 9.0.
