    Features and Benefits

The Mastercraft Glacier Grip II offers great traction over winter weather conditions, and it does not sacrifice performance while providing grip. Water drains away in an effective manner due to the special grooves. The levels of grip and traction available from this homegrown tire result in a high Mastercraft Glacier Grip II rating. Allow us to show you the features and benefits of this tire in greater detail:

    • Biting edges for grip- This tire provides biting edges for strong grip necessary on ice-covered roads while decreasing element stiffness.
    • Good wet traction- Notched and deep lateral circumferential grooves remove water from the tread in an efficient manner to provide good wet traction.
    • High snow traction in adverse circumstances- Even if the tire’s rubber compound is completely covered with snow, this tire’s patented snow groove design provides high snow traction. Stud pin holes are also present for maximizing the tire’s traction.
    • Great grip- The tires remain in close contact with the road to provide great grip at all times.
    • Stable performance- Variable sipe depth on the tire is responsible for stable performance in moderate to severe winter conditions. A dense zigzag sipe pattern which improves winter performance while ensuring great traction is available.

    Pros and Cons

Handling may not always be the best with these tires, but grip will always be superior. The ice grip and hard-pack available here are above-average, resulting in tremendous snow traction. When with studs, you can take them in severe winter conditions too. The pros and cons given below will be helpful in deciding to buy these tires:

    Pros

    • Great dry, wet and snow traction
    • Quiet and smooth ride
    • High performance
    • Low treadwear
    • Suitable for severe winters

    Cons

    • Cannot be used when temperatures are consistently above 45 degrees
    • No limited manufacturer tread life warranty

SimpleTire’s view on Mastercraft Glacier Grip II tires

You may find these tires to be as good as driving 4x4 vehicles on snow. During our Mastercraft Glacier Grip II tire review, we experienced great traction on ice, snow, wet, and even on pavement surfaces. As per their prices, you’ll find these tires offering great value for money and a durable compound keeps the rubber flexible at lower temperatures. Oh my gosh best experience I've ever had buying tires. Chad was amazing when he called me personally to tell me that a set a tires that I was purchasing to match my other tires. He said they were being sent to Lilly's tire Company in south lake Tahoe and if they weren't a perfect match or something was wrong with them, he said he would send a return label for pick up and a full refund. I will be buying tires for my Durango and my other jeep Cherokee in the next 30 days I've already given information to my sister and my mom and my family to buy tires to Simpletire great company to buy tires from Thank you for being here Patricia Cobel

I realy like master craft tires. 15" tires are real hard to find as most cars today use 16" or larger so I could not get the right size for our 2007 dodge caliber witch are 225. The largest size from master craft was 175 in 15". The caliber has never been driven in our NY winter but this year I lost use of one of our winter cars and needed to use the caliber in case it was needed when the roads were snow covered. From not being able to get up a small incline with snow too going up a hill with ice and snow with the master craft glasergrip tires. The smaller tires do not seem the handle much different when driving at highway speeds. I had put master craft glasergrips on a 2008 chrysler town & country 3 years ago and was really impressed with the traction and ride that we got with the tires and the mileage as they still on the van all year long. our 2010 jeep patriot 2 wheel drive has master craft road tires and the ride is very good ( not driven in winter) and very quiet also. For the price of these tire and performance of master craft tire! I really like them. George form Wolcott. NY.

I have these tires on my FEDEX delivery truck. Since my 4x4 is down my son told me to drive his 2005 Focus back and forth from work. I put 4 of these on steel rims for winter use. Almost as good as driving a SUV. Good traction in snow, ice, slop on the pavement. Just don't get stupid or over confident. Quite happy with tires.

Great tire for snow and ice the natural siping grips ice really well and the spread of the tread helps get the snow out so you can grip the road

Have these on my '13 FRS, and so far I've had an overall negative experience with these (have not yet driven in the snow with these, so we will see how they hold up). In 40+ degrees on wet pavement, these slip and do not grip great at all.VERY easy to cut the tires loose and lose grip unintentionally. In 40 degrees and under, they still do not grip great (wet or dry). Lastly, they are LOUD. I drive ~90mi a day to commute to work and the loudness during the drive is not pleasant at all. Would not buy these again, I cannot wait to replace these and go back to A/S tires.

Amazing winter tires. The extra zig zag patterns on each piece of tread is far superior to other tires. Put 4,000 miles on these and they still look like new tread. They do not have fast acceleration grip on dry pavement but they aren't designed like a touring rubber. Amazing snow grip.
