Lexani Tire is a sub-brand of Nexen and offers a premium range of off-road, performance, ultra-high-performance, passenger, and trailer tires. Its wide range of products boasts superior performance, great aesthetics, and cutting-edge design. As a brand, Lexani is focused on a sustainable future and utilizes technology to make products that are quiet, fuel-efficient, comfortable, and have a long life.

The Lexani Terrain Beast AT is an all-terrain tire that’s designed for use on Jeeps, SUVs, pickup trucks, and crossovers with four-wheel-drive. Lexani has added the latest and best technologies to make the Terrain Beast AT exceptionally well in all-terrain performance, alongside catering smooth and quiet rides on paved roads.

But is this tire versatile and capable enough to serve on varied terrains and paved surfaces? Let’s find out in this Lexani Terrain Beast AT tire review.

    Features and Benefits

All-terrain tires offer traction on- and off-road and have the ability to climb rocks and perform on the highway. The Terrain Beast AT is the kind of tire that has these typical all-terrain tire traits in its DNA. Optimized for aggressive off-road performance, the Terrain Beast AT offers a confident ride in conditions like rain, mud, and snow. Lexani’s state-of-the-art technologies plus full-depth sipes and grooves ensure consistent performance, making the tire apt for almost all kinds of conditions.

The tread of the Terrain Beast AT is designed for optimal performance, grip, and traction. Likewise, the tire’s rubber compound boosts grip in dry, wet, and light winter weather conditions. This compound is engineered to maintain flexibility, even in colder temperatures, and the tread has enough elements to provide solid grip on snow and icy surfaces.

For superior performance in wet conditions, the Terrain Beast AT features an open shoulder design and wide grooves that evacuate water and slush from the footprint area and prevent the chances of hydroplaning. Similarly, the unique tread pattern also clears snow stuck between the tread to provide commendable year-round traction.

Staggered tread blocks and deeper sipes allow the Terrain Beast AT to perform seamlessly on uneven, soft, and loose terrains. The wider grooves and special block pattern remove mud and eject rocks to provide grip and also help in protecting the casing and structure from any possible damage.

The Terrain Beast AT features a block rib design and solid shoulder blocks for improved steering response and driving stability. The unilateral central rib of this tire ensures stability and improves the riding experience, both on the highway and off-road.

Lexani has also optimized the Terrain Beast AT for longevity. The new-gen tread compound of this tire has damage-resistant qualities and can combat the toughest off-road conditions to provide an extended tread life. In addition, the tread design of the Terrain Beast AT is arranged to distribute the tread pressure across the profile and ensure even wear.

The Terrain Beast AT also provides further driving convenience by keeping the noise levels remarkably low. Its optimized tread design channelizes the airwaves through the footprint and doesn’t allow them to accumulate around the tread elements, thus controlling the noise formation.

The Lexani Terrain Beast AT is available in 15 to 20-inch rim sizes but isn’t covered by the manufacturer tread life warranty.

    Pros and Cons

So, should you go for the Lexani Terrain Beast AT or look elsewhere? Let’s have a look at the positives and negatives before we conclude with our view.

    • The tire offers impressive grip and traction in dry, wet, and light winter conditions.
    • Patented technologies ensure steering responsiveness, stability, and driving comfort.
    • Good grip on wet surfaces.
    • Very low noise levels.
    • Good performance on uneven, soft, and loose terrains.
    • Good for highway running.
    • More affordable than many of its peers.

While the Terrain Beast AT is said to offer commendable all-terrain performance, it does have some shortcomings.

    • Not ideal for extreme winter conditions.
    • Lack of warranty might discourage the buyers.
    • Not as good as its peers in terms of longevity.

SimpleTire’s view on Lexani Terrain Beast AT tires

If you need an all-terrain tire that has good all-season capability, superior driving comfort, great stability on- and off-road, better steering responsiveness, and low noise levels while running on paved surfaces, then the Lexani Terrain Beast AT is worth-buying for your Jeep, SUV, or pickup truck.

Compared to most of its peers, it is priced very reasonably, but the lack of warranty gives some of its competing tires a clear edge. The Lexani Terrain Beast AT is positioned against the likes of Landsail CLX10 Rangeblazer A/T, Delinte DX-10 Bandit A/T, Kenda Klever A/T (KR28), Ironman All Country A/T, Maxxis AT-771 Bravo Series, GT Radial Adventuro AT3, and Crosswind A/T.

Vehicles the Lexani Terrain Beast AT is a good replacement tire for

Commonly used on Jeeps, SUVs, light trucks, and crossovers with 4WD, the Lexani Terrain Beast AT can be a good replacement tire for vehicles like Jeep Gladiator, Chevrolet Avalanche, GMC Acadia, Ford Bronco Sport, Chevrolet Suburban 1500, RAM 1500, Buick Enclave, Nissan Pathfinder, Honda Ridgeline, and Jeep Grand Cherokee.

I've had these tires since 2019 and only have 60k miles on them. They still have meat on them and very quiet. They are starting to crack but that's normal for the amount of years I've had them. I will purchase again

These tires have been amazing and well built. I personally installed and balanced them and they have been through a blizzard, muddy terrain over thousand mile trips and still look new and are comfy. They hug the road really nice and grip the road in whatever condition you are in. I highly recommend these tires. I installed them on my wife's 2011 GMC Yukon 1500 XL and they make it a smooth ride. I pulled a trailer with these and it handled the weight fine and was up to the task will buy them for sure another time and the price was excellent. I am a Cooper tire guy for sure, but these compete well against them for a fraction of the price.

Put on about 3000 miles and so far so good. I have them on a Ford Excursion and they handle very well even when towing. They don't feel soft and they feel very sturdy. Have not driven in the snow yet so we will see how they perform when that happens. But for now, I would definitely recommend them for the price.
