Additionally, the Three Peak Mountain Snowflake certification makes it an ideal tire to perform in severe snow conditions.

But is the Winter i* cept evo3 (W330) the right tire for you? Let’s take a look at this Hankook Winter i* cept evo3 (W330) review.

    Features and Benefits

For extreme areas that experience heavy ice, slush, and snow throughout the year or maybe extreme weather conditions you should opt for a winter tire as they have a deeper tread depth that allows a firm grip, keeping your wheel closer to the road while driving on snow and ice. These tires are engineered to perform in extreme temperatures during colder months, plus they are a bit more durable and better on those wet roads than an all-season tire.

Specifically designed to offer drivers of passenger cars excellent traction and performance on wet and wintry roads, you can opt for these tires, as they use flexible rubber compounds that help the tire to grip better on cold, icy, snowy, or slushy roads. Let’s take a look at the Hankook Winter i* cept evo3 (W330) tire review to help understand all its features and benefits at a glance:

    • Enhanced traction: With a high 3-Grip sipe and a three-dimensional zigzag block shape adds another vertical shape to the two-dimensional pattern shape, which provides outstanding grip performance on snow, slush, ice, and wet road.
    • Improved tread wear: This tire is built with a climate control compound, which adapts aqua pine technology, and provides exceptional braking performance and improved wear throughout the tire’s limited mileage warranty period.
    • Optimized steering response: Improved snow handling performance and steering control is possible through the optimized groove angle of Winter i* cept evo3 (W330).
    • Reduced hydroplaning: Hankook's V-shaped pattern efficiently helps to distribute water to the side, plus a water pipe kerf placed inside the shoulder blocks channels water away for a wet grip and resists hydroplaning to provide excellent balance and traction on slippery/icy roads.
    • Three Peak Mountain Snowflake certified: The Winter i* cept evo3 (W330) has enhanced performance ability in severe snow conditions thanks to its Three Peak Mountain Snowflake certification.

The wheel size ranges from 17-inch to 20-inch, making it an ideal choice for a wide range of vehicles on roads today, including compact cars, mid-size sedans, performance sedans, coupes, minivans, and crossovers.

While I haven't had the tires long enough to gauge treadwear properly I haven't noticed any abnormalities or anything that would be cause for concern. These tires are fantastic in the wet and the snow/slush. They grab and have good grip around corners even being squishy snow tires. They're also relatively quiet for their design which was a pleasant surprise. I have owed 4 different types of Hankook tires at this point and I've yet to be disappointed.
