General Tire Logo
General tires

Established in the year 1915 in Akron, Ohio, General Tire manufactures tires for coupes, sedans, minivans, CUVs, SUVs, Jeeps, pickup trucks, racing cars, and even commercial vehicles. Most of the General range of tires are specialized to run on paved roads and uncharted territories, giving a greater level of expedition experience to the enthusiasts. In 1955, General started to supply Original Equipment tires to General Motors and various other automobile manufacturers, and in 1959, it opened the world’s largest tire testing track in Texas. General Tire was acquired by Continental AG in 1987.
