The Firestone FireHawk A/S V2 is an all-season, ultra-high-performance tire from Firestone, a pioneer in tire manufacturing. These are made for sports cars and give drivers a sporty performance. Most drivers seek out tires that can deliver year-round performance in any weather, and these tires are meant to give the same features to drivers who want to push the envelope. In a sense, this tire has everything we look for in an all-season tire.

However, is it the best tire for your car and your budget? Let's take a look at a review of Firestone FireHawk A/S V2 to see if it's the right tire for you.

    Features and Benefits

Owning a sports car is the realization of a driving enthusiast's dream because there is nothing better than driving a vehicle that was built to be driven quickly and comfortably. A high-performance car needs high-performance tires, so if you want to get the most out of your sports car, make sure you have a good set of tires installed on it. You can decide if Firestone FireHawk A/S V2 tires are the right ones for you by learning about their features and advantages.

    • Enhanced all-season traction: Tire tire’s rubber compound, as well as the unique tread pattern with full depth tread elements, promotes excellent all-season traction. As a result, the model grips the road well in dry, wet, and even light winter weather conditions. The FireHawk A/S V2 has extra biting edges to ensure its excellent performance in light winter conditions. In addition, the wide circumferential and numerous lateral grooves actively avoid hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from beneath the tire footprint.
    • Longer lasting tread life: Special full depth siping details are present at the tread block's bottom and do not wear out with tread wear. Longer-lasting siping detail keeps the tire's road gripping ability throughout its life. Moreover, tread compounds enable it to evenly distribute driving pressure along the tread area and strengthen the tire. This prevents irregular tread wear on the tire, resulting in a longer tread life.
    • Enhanced handling: Constant road contact improves the tire's handling as well. The tire's excellent road gripping ability improves steering responsiveness and driving stability. Its resistance to driving pressure stabilizes it, which makes steering responses to the driver's commands faster and more precise. Besides, its fast steering response and constant stability guarantee simple handling and control in any circumstance.
    • High speed durability: The internal structure of the FireHawk A/S V2 tire includes two high-tensile steel belts to keep the tire in the ideal shape. When subjected to driving pressure, the tire can perform well because it does not deform.
    • Vibration-free drive: Maintaining the tire's shape improves its ability to grip the pavement and lets it closely follow it. Therefore, there are fewer vibrations from the road inside the car because the tire isn't bouncing around on the pavement.

    Pros and Cons

So, is it a good fit for your sports car? Before giving our final opinion, let's first look at its Pros and Cons:

    • All-season tread pattern improves traction in dry, wet, and light winter conditions.
    • Backed by 50,000 mile limited manufacturer tread life warranty for H- and V-rated sizes, and 40,000 mile limited manufacturer tread life warranty for W-rated sizes
    • Great cornering grip
    • Improved tread design with 20% more biting edges to provide better snow traction
    • In order to lessen the chance of hydroplaning, the FireHawk A/S V2's tread has increased channels that remove water.
    • Affordably priced compared to some competitors

Despite having all of these features and benefits, the Firestone FireHawk A/S V2 tire could be better in some areas, such as:

    • Responsiveness could be improved
    • They might not perform well on icy roads

SimpleTire’s view on Firestone FireHawk A/S V2 tires

These tires are not bad on performance for the price BUT the noise generated from them is absurd. Sometimes unbearable. I find myself having to blast my stereo just to drown out the noise. My car is in immaculate running condition and the car gets an alignment every 3 months whether it needs it or not. I don't need wheel bearings either. It is a 2009 Cadillac CTS. I could never recommend buying these tires to anyone. I will call Firestones corporate offices to file a complaint and request a refund or exchange. These tires are exactly 5 months old as I write this.

My tires I ordered from simple tires came quickly and have performed well so far. They provide a nice quiet ride, and corner well on dry and wet pavement. I haven't put a lot of miles on my new tires yet but I am happy with the performance thus far.

LOVE LOVE LOVE these tires. They have been very good to me, and I have had them for two years. Not everyone's experience will be the same, but they work great for my Hyundai. Do well in snow! -R
