Cooper Tires manufactures tires under the Cooper brand for use on passenger vehicles, light trucks, SUVs, and commercial trucks. They also have subsidiaries that specialize in the production of tires for racing bikes, medium trucks, and other vehicles. Cooper has developed a set of all-season tires that can provide you with all-season traction, allowing you to stay confident even in adverse weather conditions.

The Cooper Trendsetter SE is an all-season tire that is designed for use on coupes, sedans, CUVs, SUVs, and smaller pick up trucks. These tires offer drivers year-round performance and a mileage warranty for S-rated sizes.

Since there are so many different types of all-season tires on the market, choosing the appropriate one can be difficult. Can this Cooper tire deliver the all-season traction and performance you require? To decide, let's take a look at a Cooper CS5 Ultra Touring Tire review.

    Features and Benefits

If you do not want to keep changing your tires, then you should go for all-season tires as these tires offer year-round traction. They can thrive in both dry and moist environments, as well as in very little snow. You can better grasp how these tires will benefit your vehicle by looking at their features and benefits.

    • Enhanced all-season traction: Due to the dual rubber compound and unique squared-off block tread shape, the vehicle provides excellent all-season traction. Due to the tread blocks' constant road contact, it maintains good traction in dry, rainy, and wintery conditions. In addition, the tire features a 3-rib tread design to offer wet traction.

    • Reduced hydroplaning resistance: Wide "see through" circumferential tread grooves on the tire prevent hazardous hydroplaning situations by directing water and slush away from the ground.

    • Fuel efficient tire: A high-mileage tread cover that is strengthened with the base tread material is a feature of the dual tread compound. Lower fuel consumption and more mileage are the results of this combo. In addition, the compound lessens the tire's rolling resistance, which lowers the vehicle's need for fuel and CO2 emissions.

    • Longer lasting tread: Additionally, it reduces the rate of tread wear, extending the tire's lifespan and allowing for greater mileage. These reduce the tire's environmental impact while increasing cost and fuel efficiency.

    • Precise steering response: Because of its great traction and unique tread pattern, the Trendsetter SE provides simple handling and fast steering. The improved grip and tread design improve steering responsiveness and precision by maintaining continual road contact. As a result, the tire's response to the driver's commands is swift and accurate, allowing the driver to confidently steer the car in all situations.

    • Quiet drive: Computer-optimized variable pitch eliminates the motion-induced road and pattern noise by producing the sound frequencies. This lowers the noise levels within the car, making for a quieter and more peaceful driving experience.

    Pros and Cons

Will this all-season tire provide you with traction and year-round performance? Let's first weigh its pros and cons before coming to a conclusion:

    • All-season tread pattern to offer year-round traction.
    • Backed by a 40,000 mile limited manufacturer tread life warranty
    • “See Through” grooves remove water and slush from the tread to prevent hydroplaning.
    • Squared-Off “block”tread for extra traction.
    • 3 rib design to disperse water and slush for boosted traction.
    • Dual tread compound to reduce the fuel consumption.
    • More affordable than some competitor’s tires
    • Offers drivers a quiet, comfortable ride

While the Cooper Trendsetter SE 6 tire provides these benefits, there are several areas where it falls short or may be improved.

    • Not designed for off-road driving
    • Winter performance could be better
    • Should not be used in moderate to severe winter weather conditions
    • Some drivers have reported issues with tread life
    • Only available in limited sizes

SimpleTire’s view on Cooper Trendsetter SE tires

The Cooper Trendsetter SE is a cost-effective solution for drivers in need of a straightforward all-season tire. Trendsetter satisfies the need for individuals needing a 70-75 series tire and was designed for drivers of older model coupes, sedans and minivans. With features like all-season traction, reduced hydroplaning resistance, fuel efficiency, precise steering response, longevity, and quiet drive this tire offers performance throughout the year.

Vehicles the Cooper Trendsetter SE is a good replacement tire for

Even though it is not an original equipment tire, the Trendsetter SE is an excellent replacement tire for cars such as:

    • Jeep Cherokee
    • Chevrolet Cruze
    • Dodge Avenger
    • Ford Fusion
    • Toyota Camry

Excellent tires at a great price! I haven't put many miles on the tires yet, but they do work well so far on all surfaces! My family's had really good experience with Cooper Tires. Great ride from them on my half ton pickup. Would recommend these tires and will buy them again at some point?

I purchased these 205-75-15 tires for my '50 Willy's Station Wagon. They are a bit narrower than the goodyear tires of the same size I was running before, but that is a good thing as this vintage vehicle does not have power steering. I am very pleased with them, handling is improved, they are quiet, and traction seems very good. Although I chose to mount them inside, the whitewalls are a plus too for older vehicles.

Excellent, affordable little tire for my Subaru Brat. Tread pattern looks and grips great for the lite Brat which is still equipped with the factory 13 inch wheels. They shipped quickly and balanced out almost perfect. I am very happy with these tires and SimpleTire.

Haven't had them in snow yet. They are on a collector car, so it doesn't get a lot of miles. The braking, tire noise, and traction are all good so far. I was glad I could get these in white wall. That's the main reason I purchased them, but I have been happy so far and would purchase them again. They are installed on a 1973 Buick Riviera that weighs close to 5,000 lbs, so they are doing a good job so far.

I purchased these tires a few months ago and have put about 200 miles on them. They are installed on a collector car so it doesn't generally go out in inclement weather. I have had them in the rain and they handled fine. Nice ride and little to no road noise. I was happy that Cooper offered a white wall option. It's a more affordable option than comparable tires from Coker. They are getting harder to find. I did initially order them in a smaller size and when I received them, they were black wall. I subsequently found out that they are not available in white wall in size 225/72/R15, so I replaced them with 235/75R15 and am happy.
