With their extensive selection of lawn, garden tires, you can confidently finish any outdoor project. Their products give stability, versatility, and traction that is ideal for turf. Designed for use on professional turf equipment, the Carlstar Versa Turf has a flotation design that distributes vehicle weight for traction without harming sensitive grass, and a chevron-lug design that provides 60% more tread depth.

However, can the Carlstar Versa Turf tires provide turf-friendly performance? Let's take a look at a Carlstar Versa Turf review to learn more about them.

    Features and Benefits

When it comes to lawn and garden maintenance, having the proper tools is vital. You need durable tires on your lawn and garden equipment to ensure that you not only complete the task efficiently but also beautifully. With a deeper tread depth than a regular R-3 tire design, the Versa Turf provides maximum performance in all soil and turf conditions.

    • Enhanced traction: Carlstar Vera Turf tires provide necessary traction while protecting delicate soil and turf. The Versa Turf also has a self-cleaning system that improves traction and protects the casing from harm.
    • Reduced damage to turf: For turf or soft dirt, a deep tread pattern works wonderfully. 60% more tread depth is achieved with the chevron-lug design, and the floatation design distributes the weight of the vehicle for traction without harming fragile grass.
    • Better handling: Its rounded shoulders contribute to better handling.
    • Self-cleaning: Tire has self-cleaning breaker bars in the tread which remove stones and other debris from the tread to improve performance.
    • Increased durability: The deep tread depth, robust rubber compound, and self-cleaning design of Carlstar Vera Turf tires all contribute to their durability and extended tread life.

To put it simply, these are the tires you need to have on your Sub Compact Utility Tractor (SCUT). I replaced the R4 style of industrial tires with the Carlisle Versa Turfs and these tires are superior in every possible category. The are superb in snow, so much so, tire chains were not necessary. They cleaned themselves very well and didn't tend to ball up like the R4's do in wet sloppy snow conditions. These Versa Turfs ride so much better, you will think you are on a vehicle with air ride suspension. Also, going down the road, they ride smooth and are vastly better than the Industrial version tire. The R4's feel square compared to the Versa Turfs on the pavement. Traction on grass, the Versa Turfs are superior to the industrial type tire. In fact, I would say the Versa Turfs are equally as good on turf as are the traditional turf tires used on small tractors and mowers. Even with a heavy front end loader load on the machine, the Versa Turf's have shown no weakness. I have frequently had my tractor at maximum FEL loads as well as maximum 3 point hitch loads, and even simultaneously carried these machine maximum loads and the Versa Turfs have shown no weakness. If there is a tire which is superior to the Versa Turf's for all around use on a SCUT, I haven't seen or found them. Carlisle has really knocked it out of the park with these tires for small tractors. One last crucial point. I ordered my Carlisle Versa Turf's on Simple Tire at about 8pm on a Sunday night and the tires were stacked at my front door by 9am on Monday morning, delivered via ground delivery FED Ex. I now have used the Carlisle Versa Turfs for about 150 hours on my John Deere 1025r. It has served me extremely well for about 9 months with no signs of wear and absolutely no problems. I also run a Tire Pressure Monitoring System on my tires and they have held the pressure extremely well. There has been nothing about these tires which disappointed me. I wish all purchases provided such an outstanding result, as has my purchase of the Carlisle Versa Turf radial tires from Simple Tire. If you are serious about the best possible tire for your SCUT, purchase a set of the Carlisle Versa Turfs, from Simple Tire. You will be glad you did. By the way, Simple Tire had the best delivered price and service. Order yours today, you will be very glad you did.

I put these on a Kubota ZD326 and am very happy with them. It doesnt get stuck near as easy and really sticks on hillsides. Have to be more careful about turf damage, but not a problem if your careful.

By far the best snow plowing tires I've ever used on a compact utility tractor, with fluid in them for ballast, I have only had to use the diff lock once with the old tires it was used on just about any incline or ice patch. If you want some all season tires for your garden or compact tractor the hook in the snow and ice you can't find a better tire and I have tried every pattern available over the years. Also where I plow I can not use tire chains and with these you wont need them.
