Atturo refers to the Trail Blade X/T as an “urban all-terrain tire,” but what does that mean, exactly?
The concept of an urban all-terrain tire is a hybrid tire that delivers the best of all-terrain and mud-terrain tires, with off-road performance but also road manners, ride quality, handling, and noise levels that are right at home on streets or highways. That’s setting the bar pretty high, so does the tire hit all these goals? It’s got a nice set of innovative features and top-quality construction and materials, so let’s dig into this Atturo Trail Blade X/T review to take a closer look:
Features and Benefits
A cross between an all-terrain and a mud terrain tire, the Trail Blade X/T needs to offer strong off-road performance without sacrificing on-road comfort. Here’s how the tire does that and more:
- Alternating vertical and horizontal sipe pattern boosts traction on dry, wet, muddy or snowy surfaces
- Center blocks are interlinked for good stability and reduced tread squirm at highway speed
- Tread pitch is computer tuned to keep road noise low
- Derived from mud-terrain designs, the Atturo Trail Blade X/T’s large shoulder blocks are designed for aggressive traction in dirt, mud, snow, or gravel
- Smaller, closely-spaced tread blocks at the center help keep road noise down and provide channels and grooves that evacuate water and slush
- Stone ejectors built into the base of the tread grooves protect the casing from damage by removing rocks and debris
- Modestly angled shoulder for good cornering ability without sacrificing tread area and traction
- Tough, damage-resistant tread formulation holds up against cuts, punctures, tears, scuffs
- 3-ply reinforced sidewall with built-in rim protector
- Backed by a 45,000 mile limited manufacturer tread life warranty
Pros and Cons
The features and benefits of this tire allow drivers to see its obvious strengths:
__ PROS__
- Generous tread life warranty
- Innovative design with good performance on or off-road
- Relatively quiet on paved roads
That being said, the tire does have some drawbacks:
CONS
- Not M+S rated
- Could be better in deep snow
- Could be better in deep mud
SimpleTire’s view on Atturo Trail Blade X/T tires
Lots of all-terrain tires claim to perform well on pavement, but lots of them don’t quite live up to the hype. The Atturo Trail Blade X/T is designed to deliver on that promise. The Trail Blade X/T draws inspiration from Quartermaster Knives, with shoulder lugs that are patterned after “knife blades” for tenacious traction that can help you claw your way out of ruts or deeper mud and snow. The Trail Blade X/T’s reinforced sidewall and rim guard protect against curb rash, punctures, and scuffs, and the combination of closely spaced center tread blocks and aggressive outer tread and shoulder lugs mean a great balance of road manners and off-road performance. That’s all along with a 45,000 mile warranty, which is better than what a lot of more expensive all-terrain tires offer. If you’re looking for a tire that offers brawny grip and durability off-road but is perfectly at home on a city street, you really should consider the Atturo Trail Blade X/T.
Vehicles the Atturo Trail Blade X/T is a good replacement tire for
While not used as original equipment on any vehicle, the Trail Blade X/T is a common choice for Jeeps, pickup trucks, and SUVs. If you own a Chevrolet Tahoe, Dodge Durango, Ford Explorer, Honda Ridgeline, Jeep Gladiator, Nissan Titan, RAM 2500, Subaru Outback, or Toyota Land Cruiser and want great off-road performance without sacrificing on-road ride comfort, then this is a tire you might want to consider.

Extremely Happy with these tires Great looking tires and not a lot of road noise compared to other tires Only have about 3000 miles on them now Will have to wait and see how they wear.
On my second set, first set had tread separation on two of the tires (ie falling apart). They warrantied and now another two are falling apart. I don't tow with the vehicle or do any off-roading. We only use the tires in the summer (they are terrible in snow, we live in MT and drive in lots of snow) and warranting them AGAIN is proving to be a PITA. They do drive great, do fine in wet conditions, are comfortable and the road noise is what I would expect for a tire like this. Other than falling apart, the tread seems to last but if you choose to buy them keep an eye on the sidewalls for tread separation. Quite dangerous and not worth the savings in my opinion.
I love the tread pattern and wear of these tires but they won't balance very good at all. Probably going to take them off and go another route because they shake so bad. Would not recommend

Very noise nice looking wheels but noise
On my second set of these. Put 50000 thousand on the first set. Very satisfied with them
Tires suck for rough terrain and in the snow I would not recommend these for winter tires
Love these tires on my 2017 GMC Sierra Denali. Only complaint would be road noise below 35 MPH.
Awesome tires ride great look awesome. No road noise
