Based in Ontario, CA, Amp Tires is a sub-brand of The Wheel Group (TWG) and manufactures tires for Jeeps, SUVs, and light trucks. The brand’s aggressive tread designs and value-oriented tires pass through strict quality checks and adhere to industry rules and regulations. For optimum performance and enhanced detailing, AMP produces tires only under mud-terrain and all-terrain categories. The Pro A/T is one of its front-line all-terrain tire lines that offer great performance and sturdy construction.

Designed for Jeeps, SUVs, and light trucks, the Amp Pro A/T features an aggressive tread pattern with deep, multi-function tread grooves for enhanced traction in challenging conditions. Lowering the risk of punctures are stone ejectors that resist the accumulation of snow, mud, dirt, and gravel within the grooves. While the advanced rubber compound limits chips and cuts for extra durability, the twin lug sidewall and open shoulder design ensure consistent performance and quick evacuation of water, snow, and mud to resist wheel spinning. The dense sipes provide extra biting edges for optimum performance and enhanced stability on soft surfaces of mud and snow. While the Pro A/T comes with Three Peak Mountain Snowflake certification ensuring great winter performance, the 60,000 mile limited manufacturer tread life warranty brings complete peace of mind.

So, is the Amp tire good enough in real-world conditions as well? Let’s try to find out in this Amp Pro A/T tire review.

    Features and Benefits

All-terrain tires are engineered to offer superior grip, traction, and stability on challenging surfaces of rock, mud, dirt, and gravel. The Pro A/T promises to deliver adequate performance at a considerably less cost.

    • Solid grip, stability, and performance: The aggressive tread pattern comes with deep and wide grooves that not only boost traction and grip but also ensure a smooth and controlled ride quality. The unique “twin peaks” sidewall and open solid shoulder design allow quick dispersal of mud, water, and snow to resist aquaplaning. Multi-directional sipes provide enhanced traction in snow while stepped tread blocks improve stability.
    • Sturdy construction: The multi-ply construction and reinforced carcass not only provide extra durability but also promote gradual, even wear. Solid sidewall design also helps in absorbing sudden surprises on off-road adventures.
    • Long-lasting tread: The advanced tread compound resists cuts, chips, and snags for extra durability and consistent wear. The symmetric design with optimized tread blocks puts more rubber on the road for better traction and enhanced longevity. The 60,000 mile limited manufacturer tread life warranty is a big plus with this AT tire.

Go to tires if you don't wanna spend $2k on top brands. Balances easily and rides super smooth. Not loud either at all. Especially coming from MT. Does good in rain also. I'd buy again!

Traction on wet roads from rain is horrendous. Too much throttle and the back end is going sideways. Works as it should otherwise.
