Best all around tires I've found yet

I have a 2018 Forester and replaced a set of Falken Wildpeak AT Rails with these Nokian Outpost APTs. For whatever reason, Falken has decided to outprice themselves by jacking their tire prices up way too high now. So, I researched a good alternative before I purchased this set, but there wasn't a lot of information out there on the Nokians. I had a set of winter Nokians on another car years ago and they did well. So, with that, the price, and Nokian's reputation, I decided to try these Outpost APTs. Have about 2500 miles on them in PA winter now, including heavy rain, dry roads, cold days, warm days, ice, and two different snow storms (about 6 inches of snow and about 3 inches) in one 500 mile round trip and many shorter 70 - 200 mile day trips. Most trips are on concrete, but I have some purposeful jaunts on game commission gravel and dirt roads. I generally drive between 50 and 65 mph on good roads, hanging closer to 50 or 55 so I don't pay for college tuition for the oil company executives' kids. Tires are set to Subaru recommended 29 psi rear and 30 psi front, I check the pressures weekly. Car is not loaded heavily, generally just one or two healthy weight adults in it. First thing I noticed is the tread depth. Impressive. The second thing I noticed is the quiet on the road. Really quiet. The tires also take PA potholes without But, they are new, so we'll see if this holds out as they wear down. Gas mileage increased about 1.5 mpg overall over the Falkens, but is a little lower than the original all seasons. These tires have handled very well in all conditions. I intentionally stopped in the snow and on the ice in the middle of the biggest hill near my house. Between Subaru's AWD system and these tires, there was no hesitation at all. Rain and dry handling is spot on with no noticeable over or understeer. Braking in all conditions is good, with much better braking grab than the Wildpeak AT Trails in rain, snow, and ice. We'll be looking for a set of Outpost APTs for my wife's Crosstrek when it's time to replace hers, and I'm already considering replacing the Wildpeak AT3s with Outpost nATs on my 06 Sequoia (about to be used for towing a 26 foot RV moderate distances) when the time comes for its change. Of course, that will also depend on Nokian keeping their prices in a reasonable range. If tire companies just want to price their products like the KO2s, I'll just buy the KO2s. But, assuming they keep their wits about them, Nokian is my go to tire for the foreseeable future.

Shortened life

The previous model gave me triple the life of the current model, Can you revert to the old compound? Other wise it is a great tire for the price point. I now have them on two vehicles, and am looking forward to exercising the mileage warranty again.

Was hoping the tires would last longer.

Expensive for a 40,000 mile tire. Good while it lasted, though.
