2015 Subaru Forester Tires

Subaru’s always had a bit different way of doing things, and the Subaru Forester is a crossover SUV that can also be thought of as a ruggedized station wagon. The Forester is equipped with all-wheel drive and an advanced traction and stability system, with a tough suspension and increased ground clearance, but it’s also roomy, comfortable, and capable of well over 30 miles per gallon on the highway. 2015 Subaru Forester tires could be 225/55R18 or 225/60R17 depending on the vehicle’s trim level, which could be 2.0XT Premium, 2.0XT Touring, 2.5i, 2.5i Limited, 2.5i Premium, or 2.5i Touring. If you bought a brand new 2015 Forester then your ridge likely left the factory with a set of Bridgestone Dueler H/L 400 or Yokohama Geolandar G91F tires attached.

Amazing AT tires!

These tires are great in all conditions! I put the open country AT III on my Subaru forester and it was an amazing upgrade. No matter what terrain, snow, rocks, rain, these tires will keep you comfortable and on the road. I especially noticed how quiet they are compared to some other AT tires I have been a passenger in like the bf Goodrich K02. If you have a Subaru and like to drive off road or in the snow, please do yourself a favor and get some of these now!

Not new, but not to warranty spec

I received these tires in November of 2019. Due to the pandemic, did not put on as many miles as I normally would. After 23,000 miles, my dealer was warning me to consider replacing them. I'm about 26,000 miles now and these are really too dangerous to use during heavy rain. Tread wear has been very disappointing. Admittedly, I have not rotated as I should (I've rotated 2-3 times since purchase), but no matter. All 4 require replacing. Will not buy again.

Great winter tire

I've previous run blizzak dm-v2, ws-90, lots of altimax artlctic and now these Hakka r3 SUV's. All perform really well, but after making an hour long drive through freezing rain, sleet and then 4-8 inches of snow/crust/slush I do understand the "Hakka fever" now. These sucker BITE into it all. I'm not a conservative driver and I always make sure I test a winter tire to it's limit when encountering varying conditions so I know what to expect when I get a little heavy on the gas, wheel or brakes. I was immediately impressed with these tires. The amount of grip they have in those conditions is noticeably better than the others mentioned imo. Even with my vehicle at its lightest I was surprised how much force it took to lose traction and break the back end loose with traction control off. Sudden breaking also resulted in a nice straight predictable stop. Lateral bite was truly awesome. In calmer driving I was surprised to see I was confidently doing 45 on icy hard pack and it felt like dry pavement. Wet traction and dry pavement performance are also really comfortable. I might be a Hakka user for life now.
