2012 Bmw 550i-gt Tires

BMW’s big 5-series sedan gets a 400hp-plus V8 in the 550i; the 550i comes in Base or Luxury Line trim levels, and is available with BMW’s proprietary xDrive AWD system. Your 550i would have left the factory with Goodyear Excellence ROF, Goodyear Eagle LS-2 ROF or Pirelli P Zero tires as OEM. The 550i GT is available with Base and Sport trim levels, with BMW’s xDrive AWD system as an option.

When it’s time to shop for 2012 BMW 550i tires, we’d suggest premium all-season tires like the Goodyear Eagle LS-2 ROF, Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 Plus (with 50k mile treadwear warranty) and Pirelli Cinturato P7 All Season. For more spirited driving, check out summer and ultra-high-performance tires like the Michelin Primacy 3 and Pirelli Cinturato P7. Just remember that summer and UHP tires get their cornering, braking and steering grip from a softer, stickier tread formulation that’s pliable, but will stiffen and lose traction on colder days. Summer/UHP tires shouldn’t be used when temperatures are below 40-45 degrees F.
