New Hampshire winters
My stock tire was a Parelli Scorpion tire and was decent for only 30k miles and wearing fast. Up in NH there's plenty of snow and ice. The stock tires were not too good in the snow. I didn't want to spend 2,000 on all weather and dedicated winter. So instead i bought the Alklimate XL. All tires are a compromise, but this is better winter vs summer tire. I'd say 65% winter and 35% summer tire, but I saved a grand by not having to buy 2 sets. It works very well on ice and snow, but it's a little louder then the stock tires. When it's very cold out the ride is a little harsher until the tires warm up. The gas mileage is the same with both tires. In my opinion if you live on the East Coast and North of NY you may need these tires, because their safer in the winters over the stock. South of NY you may be wasting your money.
