The Geolandar X-AT is Yokohama's all-terrain tire for pickup trucks, SUVs, and Jeeps that want to be both durable and dependable on the road and still, perform well off-road. With a 45,000 mile limited manufacturer tread life warranty, a quieter ride, and a unique dual sidewall design, this tire delivers extreme versatility so you can go farther with confidence.
Features and Benefits
An all-terrain tire, the Geolandar X-AT is engineered for strong on- and off-road performance. But how does it do that? Let’s dig in.
First, the Geolandar X-AT utilizes a smart tread block design with an HD-2 Off-Road compound and aggressive shoulders to help gain bite and clear away smaller debris. Large shoulder varied-length blocks create biting edges and promote mud and stone ejection.
Second, the tire utilizes Yokohama’s Off-Road Compound that’s engineered with a Triple Layer Polymer Blend to increase durability by enhancing cut and chip resistance for long-lasting performance. Additionally, combination narrow grooves consisting of sipes provides increased strength and grip in wet weather.
The Geolandar X-AT feature Yokohama Geo-Shield construction with dual sidewall protectors, which consist of three polyester body plies that are wrapped around a hexagonal bead to provide an elliptical contact patch with two high-strength steel belts that support the tread and are reinforced by a full-width nylon cap that adds to further, the durability.
Thick over-the-shoulder sidewall protectors guard against punctures and impacts, and Yokohama has given the Geolandar X-AT two different sidewall patterns named "Summit" and "Mesa," which allows drivers to select the look that best matches their ride. Additionally, the Five Pitch Block Variation designed tread block sequence, combined with zig-zagging grooves and specific pitch angles, delivers a quiet ride on paved roads despite the tire’s more aggressive design.
Finally, Yokohama has equipped the X-AT with a 45,000 mile limited manufacturer tread life warranty and a 30-day trial satisfaction guarantee.
Pros and Cons
Before moving ahead with the decision to buy the Yokohama Geolandar X-AT, let’s first drill down a few factors that can help you decide whether or not the tire is right for you.

- Peace of mind as it comes with a manufacturer warranty of up to 45,000 miles.
- Optimized to offer drivers a noise-free ride.
- Reinforced construction with extra steel, nylon, and Yokohama’s Geo-Shield construction with dual sidewall protectors promotes a balance of off-road traction.
While Yokohama makes a good claim about Yokohama Geolandar X-AT’s performance, some shortcomings may divide opinions.
- Some sizes are pricier than their peers.
- As an all-terrain tire, the Yokohama Geolandar X-AT is not ideal for moderate to heavy off-road driving which might be common when visiting job sites.
- Not the best option for icy conditions.
SimpleTire’s view on Yokohama Geolandar X-AT tires
Drivers who enjoy spending some time off-road need a tire that's tough enough to perform in challenging terrains, and the Geolandar X-AT from Yokohama does that and more. Offering drivers strong on-road performance, the Geolandar X-AT's combination grooves provide consistent traction on wet, snowy, and slick rock surfaces while large shoulder blocks force out mud and stones to further enhance traction. 3 sidewall plies improve durability and puncture resistance, and the Geolandar X-AT's tread design reduces road noises to give drivers a smooth, quiet ride.
Vehicles the Yokohama Geolandar X-AT is an OEM tire for

Great tire I like that they look alittle more aggressive than just an at tire and that they have more meat tread on them
The tires have only been on my truck for a few weeks. Being it is summer in Florida, we have two road conditions- hot and dry or hot and wet. So far the handling is good even while towing our 24' travel trailer at highway speeds. I am not quite sure but I suspect they area little more stiff than the Toyos they replaced, meaning the ride feels not as smooth but still a fairly quiet ride for A/Ts. Pretty satisfied at the moment. Simple Tire was great to deal with, communication and shipping were both fast and professional. Would definitely do business with them again.
No noise issues, look good. Good off road
Best tire I have owned they are quite and ride good
I've owned trucks my whole life. I've used many different brands of tires on them and figured after having such a good experience with my other vehicles using Yokohama tires I'd give them a shot on my 22 Ram. These are BY FAR the worst set of tires I've ever purchased. At over $400 a tire I am sick with how bad they are. I had them installed, balanced, re-balanced and balanced a third time. The truck rides awful, the noise is twice as loud as any other tire I've run and it makes the whole truck feel unstable at highway speeds. I've never been less satisfied in a tire product in my 30 years of buying tires. I'd give them 0 stars if I could. They basically ruined a brand new truck and the company that sold them to me pretty much told me tough luck. If you're looking for a comfortable, quiet (as can be expected) tire for your truck, stay far far away from these.
Had these on about two months now. I drive daily on these and travel long distance to my military obligation. Very low noise and grip well for a n sand and mud. The cut deep puddles very well. I am looking forward to seeing these in the winter time. I will be getting these again when these give up the ghost! v/r MSG C
Youd expect off road tires to be noisy and not too good on road, these break that stereotype, they handle great on road and off road. They also dont make any noise on road
