The TR978 features a straight center tread design with small angled grooves for improved straight drive performance and ride comfort, and a special rubber compound boosts fuel efficiency and lowers road noises to increase ride comfort. Wide grooves funnel water and slush out of the tread, and the TR978's siping bites into the road to increase grip in wet and light winter weather conditions.
