  • Thunderer Tires is a Thailand-based associate brand that engineers tires specifically for the North American market. The company manufactures tires for a range of vehicles including passenger vehicles, light trucks, SUVs, specialty tires, and commercial and trailer tires. The tires are designed to be reliable and deliver smooth performance and Thunderer Mach I R201 is no different.

Thunderer Mach I R201 is an all-season touring tire that’s designed for use on sedans, minivans, and crossover vehicles. The specialized tread pattern, rubber compound, and tire design enable it to deliver good performance throughout the year. In this Thunderer Mach I R201 tire review, we will take a look at some of the features and benefits of the tire, its pros and cons, and SimpleTire’s view to help you make an informed decision.

    Features and Benefits

All-season tires are designed to deliver uniform performance in dry, wet, and light winter weather conditions, making them extremely popular among daily drivers. These tires can be used throughout the year and are designed with a specialized tread pattern that is resistant to hydroplaning and ensures a smooth and quiet ride.

The Thunderer Mach I R201 is an all-season touring tire, which means it can deliver reliable performance and traction in dry, wet, and light winter weather conditions throughout the year. However, as it is a touring tire, it can also be used for long commutes on paved roads without losing grip or getting overheated. Let’s take a closer look at the features and benefits of this tire.

    • Optimized performance: The 5-rib all-season tread pattern ensures year-round traction and reliable performance.
    • Durable construction: A jointless nylon cap overlay increases the strength and durability of the tire.
    • Hydroplaning resistance: The lateral and circumferential grooves force water out of the tread to increase wet traction.
    • Good grip: The free tread blocks boost cornering and braking performance.
    • Thunderer warranty: Backed by a no-question asked 25/365 free replacement limited protection policy.

Thunderer Mach I R201 is available in a variety of sizes running from 12 to 17 inches and is also backed by a 60,000 mile limited manufacturer tread life warranty.

    Pros and Cons

Now that we know about the features and benefits of Mach I R201, let’s take a look at some of the pros and cons of the tire.

SimpleTire’s view on Thunderer Mach I R201 tires

If you are looking for an affordable all-season tire that can also deliver reliable performance while driving at higher speeds, Thunderer Mach I R201 might be the right choice for you. The tire is designed with an optimized tread pattern, lateral and circumferential grooves, and jointless nylon cap overlay for optimized grip, control, and steering precision. All 4 tires are completely egg shape like the mold was bad . And when I let Simple Tire know of this issue, they give me stupid hoops to jump through . I sent even a video of the the tires being spun and you can see clearly everyone was egg shaped. Still to this day , Simple Tire has not refunded nor replaced these. I actually had to buy another set from Coker Tire . Now that being said , Coker Tire is now my go to for tires . I would not buy anything from Simple Tire . They DO NOT stand behind what they sell!

I bought these tires yesterday. When i left i noticed a vibration through out the whole car. I took them back to where i bought them and they re balanced them to no avail. Im not sure if its his junky equipment but they wont balance out. Im going to ask him if i take them to another place to have them re balanced if they prove to be out of balance if he will pay for the cost to have them re balanced. VERY UNHAPPY!!!

Every single tire was out of round around 1/4 inch . It's like they come out of a bad mold. I submitted all the correct replacement paperwork and also a video of the problem and simpletire claimed not enough information to submit a replacement. I would definitely steer clear from buying tires from this company. Good price but zero warranty.

The tires seem to be fine, I have not had them on very long. Curious to see what they are like on the ice and snow.
