The DIMAX e-Sport 2 is at the high-performance end of Radar’s tire offerings, delivering true ultra-high-performance braking and cornering traction plus quick steering response. Summer and UHP tires usually mean a high price tag to go along with that level of performance, but not so with the DIMAX e-Sport 2. This tire meets those expectations at a surprisingly low price point, and offers several other surprising benefits that you won’t find in a lot of summer/UHP tires.
So what’s so great about the Radar tire? Let’s dig in a little deeper with a Radar DIMAX e-Sport 2 review.
Features and Benefits
Ultra-high-performance tires allow for sporty performance, and that’s exactly what the DIMAX e-Sport 2 does. Here are just a few things that allow the tire to perform well above its price range.
- Asymmetric tread pattern with solid outer shoulder for precise cornering and sharp handling
- Solid center rib enhances straight-line stability and steering response
- Low rolling resistance helps cut CO2 emissions and saves on fuel
- Lightweight construction with good heat dissipation, improving tire life at high speeds
- Backed by a 40,000 mile limited manufacturer tread life warranty
- Tread pattern computer-tuned to help keep road noise low
- 30-day satisfaction guarantee and optional road hazard coverage

SimpleTire’s view on Radar DIMAX e-Sport 2 tires
If you’re on a budget and you’re looking for a summer or UHP tire, you have to look pretty hard to find a tire that’s going to live up to your expectations. Not so with the Radar DIMAX e-Sport 2; when it comes to handling and braking performance for sporty sedans, coupes and crossovers, this is a tire that’s right up there with the best of them.
The Radar DIMAX e-Sport 2 offers low rolling resistance to save on fuel and emissions, with a true UHP tread pattern and construction for great handling and braking ability. Best of all, it comes with a 40,000 mile limited manufacturer tread life warranty, which is quite a selling point by itself when you consider that many summer and UHP tires don’t have tread life coverage at all. One thing to bear in mind, though, is that the Radar DIMAX e-Sport 2 uses a softer, stickier tread formulation that adheres to the road for phenomenal traction, but will stiffen up and lose grip on colder days. Like many summer and UHP tires, the Radar DIMAX e-Sport 2 shouldn’t be used if temperatures are below 40-45 degrees Fahrenheit and should be changed over to an all-season tire.
Vehicles the Radar DIMAX e-Sport 2 is a good replacement tire for
Not every vehicle needs a set of UHP tires, but many drivers who want sporty performance should consider them. If you drive an Audi S3, BMW M5, Cadillac CTS, Genesis G80, Honda Civic SI, Hyundai Elantra, Kia K5, Lexus IS, Mazda CX-5, Porsche Macan, Subaru WRX, or Volkswagen Jetta, then this is a tire you might want to run in the warmer months of the year.
