I have these on a Ram 3500 dually that tows regularly, had Toyo ATs before, I don't remember the model number on them but they were the most recent ones. No complaints about those tires at all but I had put a set of these Nokians on my wife's Grand Cherokee for summer/fall tires and they've been great so thought I'd try them on my truck. Really no complaints, they are great tires. I can't hear them over the truck so I have no clue about noise, but they handle nicely, I don't feel like the sidewalls are soft or anything like that. I love the tread depth gauges that Nokian puts on their tires, just a nice touch that makes it easy to read when rotating tires. I actually specifically wanted to write this review after spending a couple days hauling beef cattle in absolutely terrible winter conditions, I have a 22' EBY gooseneck and was moving loads of 12-14 Angus of varying sizes, I don't know the exact load weight. Either way the roads were atrocious, like couldn't see the other trailer probably 100' in front of me. If anyone knows the weather in Northern VT that's what it was, wind driven snow. I was really impressed with these tires, I only felt the truck slip a couple times and it cornered really well. Probably the most confident I've ever felt driving in wind driven snow with a dually and a trailer. Wasn't really planning on writing a review on them until they impressed me in the snow like they did. Other than that they are just another top tier AT tire, there's a few out there like the Toyos I had before. I wouldn't snooze on these for sure. Been running strictly Nokians on our vehicles lately because they've been pretty impressive all season tires on our rural roads that are probably worse than some "off road" trails haha.

Headquartered in Finland and officially identified in 1988, Nokian has a long history, and its roots go back to 1898 with Finnish Rubber Works. The manufacturer is known for its world-class products, and its range of winter tires, especially, has earned a huge respect amongst enthusiasts. In addition to winter tires, Nokian has impressed drivers with its exceptional range of all-season, all-terrain, all-weather, mud-terrain, and UHP tires.
Launched in March 2023, the Nokian Outpost nAT is a new made-in-USA all-terrain, all-weather tire. The tire's name, nAT, is “North American all-terrain” or “new all-terrain”. Mainly produced at the Dayton, Tennessee factory, the Outpost nAT is engineered to provide solid traction in all conditions and is also optimized for exceptional durability, solid puncture resistance, and longer service life. The tire suits SUVs, CUVs, EVs, and light trucks and offers great performance on- and off-road.
In this Nokian Outpost nAT tire review, we will examine the features and benefits, pros and cons, vehicle compatibility, sizes available, and other important details to help you make an informed decision.
Features and Benefits
All-terrain tires provide traction on and off-road, can perform on highways, and can climb rocks. The Outpost nAT also has these abilities and is an all-weather tire. This means the tire can be used year-round like a standard all-season tire and can perform in moderate to severe winter weather conditions. Let’s learn in detail about the tire’s features and find out how these features impact overall performance and usability.
- Outstanding on- and off-road performance - The tire can run on and off-road. It features summit sidewalls and shoulder notches that boost grip when the tire is driven on soft surfaces like mud, snow, and sand. The tread blocks with multiple biting edges and wider gaps ensure the tire runs through challenging surfaces easily and remains optimally clean to maintain surefootedness.
- Optimized for ultimate durability and puncture resistance – An all-terrain tire must be highly durable to withstand rugged environments, and the Outpost nAT is designed alike. It features patented Aramid Touch Shield technology, providing ultimate durability and puncture resistance. The extremely strong Aramid fibers are used to boost the robustness of the tire and protect the tread and sidewalls. These Aramid fibers are also used in protective vests and the aerospace industry. The manufacturer is so confident of the toughness of this tire that it offers a one-of-a-kind Pothole Protection warranty, under which Nokian will replace the tire for free if it is damaged beyond repair by a road hazard or the pothole (terms and conditions apply).
- Enhanced all-weather traction and grip – The tire is tuned to offer a solid all-weather traction grip and can perform in conditions like snow, slush, rain, and heat. It is Three Peak Mountain Snowflake certified to serve in unpredictable and challenging conditions during severe winter.
- Extended service life - The Outpost nAT is engineered to offer extended service life as its tread is tailored with many advanced features to achieve the same. Its canyon-deep tread pattern increases the tire’s usability, and the optimized tread design promotes longevity. The strong and durable construction of the tire also promotes longevity.
- Impressive handling and stability – This all-terrain tire's Dual X Canyon tread provides impressive handling performance. In contrast, the solid inner construction and wider footprint provide greater stability in all terrains and paved roads.
- Covered by limited manufacturer tread life warranty – The Outpost nAT is backed by a 60,000-mile limited manufacturer tread life warranty, offering a great ownership experience and peace of mind to customers.

Was looking for durable A/T tires that weren't too heavy and that could handle wet and winter. Have experience from BFG KO and they are great off road but almost dangerous in wet and under par in winter conditions. Also too heavy. The Nokians are superb in dry & wet, not noisy and very comfortable. And knowing Nokians I'm sure they won't disappoint in winter. Interesting too see off road performance also.
Put a set of these on our Jeep Gladiator. They ride great, have decent grip dry and wet, and are relatively quiet for an all-terrain tire. Plus, they look fantastic. Considered BFG K02/K03, Falken WildPeak, Toyo Open Country, etc., but the Nokians provide similar performance and comfort for a better value. Wouldn't hesitate to buy another set.
The nAT are as practical as you can get when it comes to an All-Terrain tire for 90% of drivers with ATs; the weight, performance on and off dry roads, and road noise are top notch. It's the 4th set of Nokians I have purchased in the last two years and I have always been impressed.
We're a Nokian snow tire family. I was pretty interested to check out their entry into the truck tire market. Nothing to be disappointed about so far albeit some minor tread chipping because we live in dirt road country. Recommended!
Drove 100 miles through I-70 during a severe winter storm. Drove around vehicles and semi-trucks that were unable to move up the 7% grades like the pavement was dry. Amazing tires.
Replaced my stock Goodyear Terrain AT tire's on my 23 Canyon. Still had life in them but they were sloppy and didn't ride that good. Did plenty of research and thought I'd try the Nokians. Have about 2,000 miles on them and they have served me great in rain. My previous tires had flex when turning and the Nokians stiffer side wall feels much more planted. There is a little more sound but nowhere near annoying. It's an all terrain with good grip and sounds like a truck tire should.
It has not seen snow yet so i cany say anything about winter performance yet. Noise level is moderate. It is louder than my stock tire. I can hear it. It is my first time to use all terrain tire so nothing to compare it with. A little more comfortable than stock tires. Aggressive look is a plus.
These are on par with Toyo Open Country for ride quality. They look awesome ride quiet and feel stable while driving. Nokian is doing a poor job marketing an awesome tire.
