Nokian is situated in Nokia, Finland and was founded in 1988 but has roots back to the 1800s. Known for its high-gripping winter tires, Nokian has established itself as the only tire company in the world to have a dedicated winter tire testing facility of its own, and it developed the world’s first winter tire in 1934. Nowadays, it produces tires for passengers, SUVs, light trucks, and van tires, and its Hakkapeliitta line is the most recognized tire line of the Finnish tire maker.

The Nokian cLine tire is an all-season tire that combines a quiet, comfortable ride with year-round, all-season traction, even in light snow, to owners of commercial vans. But is this the right tire for you? Let us have a look at the Nokian cLine tire review.

    Features and Benefits

In areas that experience moderate temperatures year-round, finding a set of tires that perform well in dry, wet, and light winter weather conditions becomes a must as changing conditions can make it difficult for your tires to grip the road. Fortunately, all-season tires are an excellent choice if you want a do-it-all tire for your vehicle. Additionally, all-season tires typically offer better-rolling resistance for enhanced fuel economy.

Let’s take a look at the Nokian cLine tire review to help us understand all its features and benefits at a glance:

    • All-season performance: The cLine comes with a sidewall compound that is exceptionally durable and puncture-resistant by containing extremely strong aramid fibers that enhance its performance in wet and light snow conditions.
    • Reduced hydroplaning: Wavy grooves and an increased number of biting edges enhance traction on slippery roads, preventing hydroplaning.
    • Extended durability: The Aramid sidewall is incredibly durable for puncture resistance.
    • Solid vehicle handling: A smart rubber compound boosts handling performance, even when carrying heavier loads.

Ideal for commercial drivers with long commutes, the Nokian cLine offers reliable performance and very high endurance. This tire size ranges from 14 to 17 inches and is covered by Nokian Tires Satisfaction Promise, if you make your purchase from one of their specified shops, and aren’t happy with your Nokian Tires, you may swap them for another set free of charge assuming certain terms and conditions are met.

    Pros and Cons

Before deciding to buy Nokian cLine, let’s first drill down a few factors that can help you decide whether or not the tire is right for you.

    • Resists wear and maintains its good properties for longer
    • Stable and comfortable to drive even at heavy loads
    • Excellent wet grip and handling
    • Asymmetric tread pattern delivers strong year-round performance
    • Innovative tread design to reduce hydroplaning risk

While Nokian makes a good claim about Nokian cLine’s performance, some shortcomings may divide opinions.

    • Not ideal for use in moderate to severe winter weather conditions
    • Only available for commercial vehicles
    • Light winter weather performance could be better

SimpleTire’s view on Nokian cLine tires

Designed to deliver good consumer value while ensuring even treadwear and long tread life, the cLine combines a quiet, comfortable ride with year-round traction, even in light snow, along with sound wave suppression technology that makes sure to deliver a quiet ride.

With an innovative and independent tread block pattern that helps evacuate water and slush quickly to improve wet and light snow traction, this tire also creates comfort so that drivers receive consistent performance on dry, wet, and snowy roads. This is a good tire at this cost but if you want better winter performance at a better price then take a look at an all-weather tire like the Toyo Celsius Cargo.

Vehicles the Nokian cLine is a good replacement tire for

Commonly used on commercial vans, the Nokian cLine can be a common replacement tire for vehicles such as Ford Transit 150, Ram ProMaster 2500, Chevrolet Express 3500, GMC Savana 2500, Nissan NV 3500 and more.

Bought a set of Nokian tire for my 1978 VW Bus. Hard to find the correct tire with the recommended tire index required by Volkswagen. Nokian tires exceeded those Specs and I am very pleased with them.

Ordered a set of Nokian C Line tires for my 1978 VW Bus. after a lot of research looking for the correct tire for my Bus I came across the Nokian which are not carried by most Tire Shops here in California. They meet my needs in terms of Load rating which is vital when driving a 40+ year old vehicle. I ordered them on Monday and I was driving my Bus to the Beach on Friday. I love the new Tires, and the service I got from customer service was top notch. The service and price was beyond fair. If you asked me if I would buy ant another set of tires for my Toyota Truck, I am already planning on it. Great Tires Great Service. Thank You

I Bought the Nokian Cline online in May of 2018 Load E 10 ply tires for my 2000 Lincoln Town Car Cartier L series. I drove a complete west side of US tour on these tires, Grand Canyon, LA, Yosimite, Hoover Dam, Seattle, yellow stone, pikes peak, Mt rushmore, ect ect ect. Now 5 months later and 20,000 miles, average tread wear, no tread damage from all the stone roads and plenty of tread on the tire. These tires have less road noise then my previous Cooper CS5 touring tires. I live in DFW and this is the first set of tires I have had no belts breaking or tread seperation from city pot holes and steel plates from street work. Tires were made in Russia, and I would buy them again, they are the quitest 10 ply tire I have ever had for highway use, and extremely tough. JP 11/25/2018

Installed a pair of these on the rear of a WInnebago Rialta. Rides like it's on a cloud. I am confident driving my camper knowing these tires are installed on it. Would definitely recommend to other Rialta drivers.

I LIKED ordering from Simpletire. On that day the online ordering didn't work (for me) but the chat option saved the day. With Kirsten Nyce as my chatee my order was politely received followed by an emailed confirmation and shipping notice. What more could you ask for in an online transaction? The tires came when predicted and I'm very happy with them. I have a cargo-type vehicle which requires certain tires. Simpletire got my tires and I got them for the best price I could find.
