I got the tires right before winter and I haven't had any issues. No sounds coming from them going down the road which is something I expect from tires.

As an all-terrain tire, the Nitto Nomad Grappler is an ideal fit for SUVs and CUVs where drivers need a combination of balanced performance and strong traction on- and off-road. Nitto, the Japanese manufacturer which established itself in the US in 1966, positioned this tire between the NT541Q and the Terra Grappler G2 to ensure that it covers all spectrums of light truck tires. Due to its symmetrical tread design, the tire provides great stability at high speeds, better protection against hydroplaning, and superior handling on mud and snow. Such tires can be rotated to any position, thereby preventing uneven wear. Find out more about this all-round grip tire through this Nitto Nomad Grappler review that shows how a vehicle intended for street use can be transformed into an off-road beast.
Features and Benefits
On the outside, it is easy to notice the Nomad Grappler’s aggressive tread design that makes it stand out from most SUV/crossover tires. One of the prime reasons for the Nitto Nomad Grappler rating to be high is the availability of a 60,000 mile limited manufacturer tread life warranty. Increasing the tread life further is a double shoulder edge that brings down uneven wear. This tire displays triangular-shaped sipes that can bite into any terrain for generating excellent traction. For dry traction, the Nomad Grappler’s inner tread blocks are interlinked to keep the tire rigid. More specifically, off-road traction is boosted further due to staggered sidewall lugs that reduce the chances of chips and punctures. Further, its circumferential stepped grooves force dirt, stones, rocks, slush, water, and other debris to generate constant traction and to protect the tire casing from damages.
Amongst the other benefits, one is that of an aesthetic kind. A dual sidewall design helps drivers select the best looks for their rides. During the Nitto Nomad Grappler tire review, we also found a variable pitch pattern that minimizes vibrations and road noises to ensure a comfortable and quiet ride for vehicle occupants.

SimpleTire’s view on Nitto Nomad Grappler tires
It has now become common for drivers of both CUVs and SUVs to take their vehicles off the road, resulting in them searching for capable tires. The Nitto Nomad Grappler fits the bill perfectly as it is adequately durable to handle tough conditions while being also designed for a smaller vehicle. As is visible above, several features such as tapered blocks and staggered sidewall lugs are available for boosting traction on and off the road. For people who live above the snow belt, Nitto Nomad Grappler is a Three Peak Certified tire thanks to its ability to perform in moderate to severe winter weather conditions. So, even if we state that the price for the tires is high, it is justified due to the number of features being explained here.

Great winter tires low noise until late in wear.
If I could rate them higher I would!!!
The tires look aggressive on the vehicle, makes your smaller SUV look tuff. Slightly more noise than a passenger tire. Overall a great highway, light offroad tire!

Awesome on road and in corners, handles the trails and rough terrain better than most tires I've had and the best looking as well.
We wanted a more aggressive look on our Crosstrek without sacrificing highway performance, comfort, and noise. We nailed it with this tire. We've only driven 2,000 miles so far on them on far, but they ride great and look amazing! Highly recommended!!
In North Dakota, all four seasons exist, but the frigid winters are what we prepare for. We installed the Nomads on the trailhawk and couldn't be happier with the choice of tires. They have deep lugs, but they are not loud while driving. With the snow and ice, so far so good. The fuel mileage has not changed at all, the little jeep is still getting the same. Now it is tough to judge the fuel mileage in the winter with more than usual idle hours warming up a vehicle. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE TIRES TO ANYONE WHO IS SERIOUS ABOUT THEIR TIRES!
