Review summary

AI-generated from verified customer reviews.
The Nitto Mud Grappler tires receive mixed reviews, with many praising their off-road performance and aggressive appearance, while others note concerns about road noise and wear.
The Nitto Mud Grappler tires are well-regarded for their off-road capabilities and aggressive styling. They perform exceptionally well in muddy and challenging terrains, making them popular among off-road enthusiasts. However, the significant road noise and potential for faster wear may make them less suitable for those primarily driving on highways or seeking a quieter ride. Proper maintenance and rotation can help extend their lifespan, but buyers should be prepared for the trade-off between off-road performance and on-road comfort.

Get technical:

The Nitto Mud Grappler is a mud-terrain tire designed for use on light trucks, Jeeps, and SUVs and offers drivers enhanced durability plus strong traction and performance off-road.

Features & Benefits

  • Mud-terrain tread
  • Black sidewall
  • High void ratio for good self-cleaning of mud and debris for consistent traction and to protect the casing from damage

Whether it's dirt, rocks, thick mud, sand, or snow, the Nitto Mud Grappler is the tire for the job. The Nitto Mud Grappler features big, blocky lugs that extend from the shoulder down to the sidewall for great lateral traction (handy for clawing out of ruts) and tough 3-ply sidewall construction for aired-down operation over rocks and obstacles. The Mud Grappler is tough, too, with a damage-resistant rubber formulation and high-tensile steel belt package for some of the roughest treatment you can subject it to. With "lizard skin" texture on one side and a plain sidewall on the other, it's easy to customize the aesthetics of your truck with the Nitto Mud grappler.
