Worked great on my G37 during this past winter in New England. Most affordable 19" winter tires available.

During our nort east jersey winter. I purchased 2 sets of these nexen wingaurd tires. I had better traction on all wintry roads from slush to powdered snow. Never skipped a beat. Always had control. Never felt like I was sliding anywhere or fishtailing at all.

So far I have not had an issue with any Nexen brand tires. I had all season that came with the car and no issues. (I'm at 30k miles with the all season). As for these Nexen Winguard Sport snow tires, I can positively say the same. Living in CT during all of the seasons I was worried that the sport version of this tire would cause complications. However Nexen did it. During our snow storm(s) that we had during our 2017/18 season they preformed as I expected, even more so on a front wheel drive car. Traction on dry road is amazingly good. On wet road just as good. As for snow they plowed through some grooling snowstorms. As for ice, just like any tire use caution. But I have not had any issues so far.

Put two of these on my daughters front wheel drive car for the PA winter. Noticeably improved the traction on slippery roads over her existing all season tire.

Get technical:

Nexen's Winguard Sport is a winter tire that's designed for use on passenger cars and features an asymmetrical tread pattern for solid traction and handling performance in winter weather conditions. An optimized design lowers road noises and vibrations to create a quiet, comfortable ride for drivers and passengers, and the Winguard Sport's silica-based rubber compound keeps the tire flexible for consistent performance in frigid temperatures. Additionally, the Winguard Sport's four wide grooves funnel water and slush out of the tread to reduce the risk of hydroplaning and high density multi-sipes bite into the road to reduce braking distances.

Features & Benefits

  • An aggressive all-season tire that performs well in almost all weather conditions with its ability to grip well on snow, ice, and slush.
  • Its low-road noise feature allows you to cruise comfortably even in long distances.
  • Incredibly easy to control with strong accelerating, braking, and cornering even when driving at high speeds.
