I buy these tires for all my trucks, im running them on an 89 F250, 87 Dodge raider, 71 W200 and a 96 F350 4x4 dually. Not the easiest tires to balance but the treadwear is almost phenomenal!

Nexen Tire Co. was established by Heung-A Tire Company in 1942 and was recognized as the first Korean tire company in 1956. The name Nexen has been coined by combining two future-based words: Next and Century.
As a mud-terrain tire, the Nexen Roadian MT is primarily meant for strong traction off-road, although the tire is fairly good on the highway too. Customers have the option to install studs (where permitted) as these tires provide holes. You may feel the grip on mud, snow, and ice to be good enough to not own a 4x4! More information about this piece of rubber can be found in the Nexen Roadian MT review below.
Features and Benefits
Meant to be fitted on Jeeps, light trucks, and SUVs, Nexen’s Roadian MT enable drivers to conquer territories as diverse and demanding as mud, sand, dirt, rocks, and ice. The tires have great features for superior traction and great looks. To maximize roadholding and for low rolling resistance, Roadian MT tires receive a symmetric tread pattern. Take a look at the various features and benefits we found during our Nexen Roadian MT tire review:
- Better driving power and hydroplaning resistance: Zigzag shoulder blocks and wide grooves help in providing great driving power, amazing water drainage, and superior hydroplaning resistance.
- High load durability: The very rigid tread blocks and express-designed shoulders are necessary for high load durability on light trucks and SUVs.
- Improved off-road traction: Deep tread grooves are responsible for high traction levels on various rough terrains such as mud and rocks.
- Aggressive grip and looks: Aggressive tread blocks are suitable for grip and for a great look.
Pros and Cons
Outlined white lettering on the sidewalls helps identify these tires easily. In the market, you’ll find these tires to be more affordable for certain sizes than popular rivals Firestone Destination M/T2 and Falken Wildpeak MT01. Given below are the Roadian MT’s pros and cons:
Pros
- More smooth and comfortable than most mud-terrain tires
- Excellent off-road and on-road traction in the dry and wet
- High durability
- Suitable for heavy winter use, and can be pinned with studs (where permitted) to further enhance traction
- Superior braking power
- Grip is good enough on rough terrains without necessitating 4x4
- Low rolling resistance for good fuel economy
Cons
- Can be noisy
- Not recommended for high speed driving
- Does not come with a limited manufacturer tread life warranty

This is the 3rd set of these Nexen MTRs I have purchased, they wear phenomenally well, decent traction and outstanding price and service, the road noise is slight. Currently running them on my 1987 Dodge Raider and my 1989 F250 2wd with an IDI, The first set I put on a 1966 D200 dodge and those are still going strong for the guy I sold the truck too. These vehicles are not babied and typically carry heavy loads over unimproved gravel roads as well as pavement. I actually get compliments on them although mine are not super big or tall but they seem to make the trucks appear better. I love this MTR tire and for the price and fast free shipping you cant go wrong.
I drive a lot of gravel roads, these tires hold up well and do good in the mud too.
these tires are the best, got them on my 1995 f150 short box 351w daul posti-tracs 5-speed . ran thur 2.5 foot of packed snow and they never failed to dig down and launch me thur the snow. thinking about another set of 31-10.50-15,s to put studs in for the winter ice for the snow plow. great tire and at the best price , thanks again for selling me these tires.
Good tiers for good price
Great but has a good loud rumble to them makes you sound bigger than you are
Tires look awesome and ride awesome. With the tread being so aggressive, I was concerned there would be a lot of road noise, however, it was very minimal. I haven't put a lot of miles on them, so I can't say how long the tread life will be. I think these are a great tire! Highly recommend.
