Mickey Thompson got their start in 1963 in the relatively new niche of tires for performance and off-road minded drivers, and has become one of the top brands in the world for 4x4s, dragsters, vintage muscle cars, and specialty competition tires. Mickey Thompson's innovative tires are proven in the pro racing series such as the NHRA and IHRA drag racing circuit and Lucas Off Road Racing Series. That experience has gone on to influence their tire designs for light trucks (like the Baja family) and passenger cars (such as the high-performance Sportsman and Street Comp tires). Mickey Thompson is now part of the Goodyear family.
