Maxxis MA‑SLW Presa Spike

The Presa MA-SLW from Maxxis is a light truck and SUV tire that's designed for use in the most extreme winter weather conditions. The Presa MA-SLW features metal studs for grip on snow and ice (check your state laws for legality of studded tires), a directional tread of sawtooth tread blocks, microgrooves and sipes to boost grip, and a rubber compound that stays flexible at lower temperatures. As a winter tire, the Presa MA-SLW utilizes a softer rubber compound that will quickly wear in warmer temperatures, so it should not be used when temperatures are consistently above 45 degrees Fahrenheit.
