These tires came on a 1991 Miata that I bought. I had to replace one tire due to hiway damage. So far I have been very impressed with how nicely they work. I live in Western Oregon so wet weather handling and braking is important. These tires do very well in the wet or dry. They even handled some light snow and slush this last winter. I have put about 12,000 miles on them and they have lots of tread left. I think they are a great value.

master craft mc -440 tires are very noisey. you can here all of the road noise.
I'v had about 4 sets of these tires on 2 different cars and they are the best I have found, given the price!
I bought 4 mastercraft m/c 440. When I installed them they had a vibration so I rebalanced them and still had vibrations. So then I road force balanced them and they was all high. Also noticed that the tires where out of round not so that was what the rough ride and vibration was coming from. But they do where good I'll give them that. I put about 3,000 miles on them and they are all at 9/32 tread depth.
Bought MC-440's used, with good tread tho. After 19,000 miles, think they still have 19,000 miles left. I do careful pleasure driving, with tires mounted on rear of a front wheel drive light car. Dry pavement handling is good. On wet pavement, my front wheel drive car, which normally has understeer, now has oversteer, because the Sears tires lose grip gradually, before the front different brand tires lose grip. Altho I would prefer more grip in the rear, I like that my front wheel car now has oversteer. The Sears MC-440 tires are quiet, smooth, & pleasant to drive.
I was happy with the performance and tread life of the MC 440 so when I needed new tires I bought the same thing. They are a Cooper tire I came to find out. Love the Coopers on my wife's car so this was a no-brainer for my daughters car. I would recommend them!
Tires are fine for the money on dry surfaces. Horrible in the rain and snow and very dangerous when trying to turn or take off in the rain. Also they hydroplane very easily over 50 mph
They grip the road extremely well. So much so that I occasionally check my tires to see if any are going flat. I haven't had them long enough to know if this will affect tread life. There is some road noise but not extreme. Lastly, the grip was a concern regarding gas mileage but I don't notice any difference. For the price...so far... they are worth the purchase.
