In the last ten years, electric vehicles, hybrids, and plug-in hybrids have appeared on American roads. As mentioned above, EVs need a specialized tire designed around their performance and drivers’ needs. The Lexani VOLT EC goes a long way toward meeting those expectations and checking those boxes.
With no drivetrain noise, engine, or exhaust note, EVs are exceptionally quiet on the highway, and any tire drone will be pretty noticeable. The tread pitch of the Lexani VOLT EC is tuned for a quiet and serene ride, far quieter than most of its counterparts designed for ICE vehicles. It also helps to deliver long-range EV batteries thanks to its low rolling resistance, optimizing the battery’s efficiency so drivers can squeeze more miles out between charges.
On the highway, the Lexani VOLT EC is stable with good road manners and driver feedback thanks to a solid center rib that also helps to ensure a quick, nimble steering response. Handling and cornering are accurate and predictable, and ride quality is controlled and comfortable (if a little firm). The VOLT EC’s traction properties are confident on wet or dry roads and light snow – indeed, the VOLT EC doesn’t perform as well in deeper snow, but to be fair, that’s not a strong point for most all-season tires.
With the widespread adoption of EVs and plug-in hybrids, the automotive world is entering a new age, and tire manufacturers have had to adapt and keep up with the changes.
