3 SimpleTire reviews
They are a nice all-season tire, and they are quiet and comfortale, but I wouldn't call them a winter tire. They do not work well on icy road conditions.
Get technical:
The Kumho I'Zen KW31 is a winter tire that's designed for use on passenger vehicles and offers drivers superior snow traction, braking performance, and improved vehicle handling
Features & Benefits
- Winter tread; should not be used when temperatures are consistently above 45 degrees Fahrenheit
- Black sidewall
- Three Peak Mountain Snowflake certified for use in moderate to severe winter weather conditions
- Snow/ice destroying snow buster with strong shoulder design that deliver solid traction on slippery roads
Winter tires give you confidence on slippery roads because they are specifically designed for use in cold weather conditions, including snow and ice. Kumho I'Zen KW31 is a solid winter tire with a directional tread pattern, angled grooves, and open shoulders that help deliver solid handling performance, and reduced hydroplaning. The I'zen KW31's large shoulders and additional sipes improve grip, acceleration, and braking performance on icy and snowy roads.
