The Kenda Klever R/T KR601 is a rugged, all-terrain tire that can handle challenging terrain without compromising the ride quality and comfort.
But is it the best tire for your car and your budget? Let's take a look at a review of Kenda Klever R/T KR601 to see if it's the right tire for you.
Features and Benefits
All-terrain tires work well on jeeps, SUVs, and light trucks and are made to perform on any terrain. However, an all-terrain tire might let us down by not offering a smooth ride. If you want a tire that performs better on all types of terrain while also providing a comfortable ride, knowing the features and benefits of the Kenda Klever R/T KR601 will be beneficial to you.
- Improved traction: An aggressive tread pattern improves the ability to grip soft, loose, and uneven terrain. In addition to helping with difficult mud, sand, and gravel conditions, the tire features strong upper sidewall tread blocks with an aggressive design that also provide long-lasting wear and protection against impact damage.
- Enhanced durability: The Klever R/T KR601 has a 3-ply sidewall for increased durability, as well as an optimized design and all-season rubber compound for improved traction and performance on- and off-road. Moreover, the stronger polyester casing and aggressive sidewall pattern protect the tire from damage and punctures.
- Better handling: Because the tread maintains constant road contact, the Klever R/T KR601 is simple to maneuver. With better road contact, the ideal tread design enhances steering response and driving stability.
- Extensive self-cleaning: An extensive groove pattern improves hydroplaning resistance while maintaining a tidy footprint. Additionally, a large groove pattern boosts the ability to eject mud, snow, and rock.
- Great grip: With its high sipe density and aggressive tread design, the Klever R/T KR601 boosts wet traction. Able to be pinned with studs, where permitted, for better traction in severe ice and snow, the tire also utilizes a strategic upper sidewall that allows for great grip by creating additional biting edges.
Pros and Cons
Is it the right tire for your Jeeps, light trucks, or SUVs? Let’s take a look at its pros and cons before expressing our final opinion:
- Triple Threat Sidewall (3 full carcass plies, aggressive sidewall tread, robust bead protector) to prevent damage
- Blocks in the center of the tread interlock for aggressive off-road and snow performance.
- Large groove pattern to reduce the risk of hydroplaning
- High sipe density for superior traction on snow, ice, and wet surfaces
- Can be pinned with TSMI #15 studs, where permitted, to improve traction in harsh winter weather
- High sipe density to offer quiet and comfortable ride
Regardless of its features and benefits, these tires may lack in the following areas:
- No mileage warranty
- Ride quality could be improved

The tires are great it's my second set and the ride is great and the road noise is like a street tire would recommend them for any type of weather
good quality for good money
This tire works well in all conditions, I will buy them again once these wear out
Very happy with the tires. They have a lot of road noise but no more than I expected. They handled very well on wet pavement.
Can't recommend highly enough. I've had the chance to use them in 5in snow on the road- awesome. Wet and dry roads. And some fire roads. They have been flawless in every instance. Can't say for wear. Not enough miles. Some other reviews, both personal and professional have said they can be rotation sensitive. I rotate mine every 3k when I change the oil. They are not loud by any means. Smooth on the highway. Have to say, they have exceeded any expectation I had.
Great tire. I was worried getting into these since I'm used to nitros and stuff. These are just as good if not better for much less. Very comfortable for being a 37 inch tire

I went from the Falcon Wildpeak AT3's to the Kenda Klever RT's. They were pretty damn good all around, but they were never very good on wet pavement or on ice, in my opinion. But I did get almost 100k out of them, believe it or not, mostly highway miles of course, and rotated religiously. However, the Kenda Klever RT's definitely have superior traction, especially if you have an ecoboost engine and a lead foot! lol! We got plumetted with ice followed by a foot of snow here in Missouri this week (Feb 2022), almost everything was shutdown. No problem for these bad boys! Ha! I was out making new tracks in a foot of snow and ice in my 2015 Ford F150 FTX, having fun the whole time! I'll be buying another set of these, for sure, and I just ordered four new Kenda Klever AT3's for my wife's 2018 AWD Ford Explorer too. RT's won't fit.
