GT Radial is the flagship brand of Giti Tire and is one of the largest tire companies in the world, started in 1993. The company designs a variety of tires for passenger vehicles such as SUVs, CUVs, sedans, etc., and provides reliable driving performance to the drivers and passengers.
The GT Radial Champiro UHP A/S is, as the name suggests, an ultra high-performance tire with an all-season rubber compound that provides drivers with reliable performance in dry, wet, and light winter conditions. Featuring an advanced and stylish tread design, the tire delivers all-season performance and good tread life.
However, does the Champiro UHP A/S provide a comfortable and smooth driving experience, without sacrificing performance? We’ll find out in this GT Radial Champiro UHP A/S tire review.
Features and Benefits
All-season tires are designed to offer drivers good traction in all weather conditions, and durability, without sacrificing performance. Moreover, ultra-high-performance (UHP) tires are more curated for performance vehicles and have excellent traction, short braking distance, and exceptional cornering abilities, even when driving at high speeds. The GT Radial Champiro UHP A/S tire is a UHP and an all-season tire, meaning it is designed for performance vehicles and can be used in all weather conditions, except heavy winter conditions.
Full-depth siping within the tires creates an additional biting edge and simultaneously boosts grip. While the nanometer silica compound of Champiro UHP A/S helps in improved grip on wet roads. Let’s take a closer look at some of the features and benefits of the tire:
- Improved wet grip: A Nanometer Silica compound improves wet grip while reducing rolling resistance.
- Quiet, comfortable ride: The tire offers the driver a quieter ride with reduced road noise using the variable pitch technology
- Consistent grip, even as the tire wears down: Extra full-depth sipes ensures good grip throughout the tire’s tread life
- Precise handling: The large shoulder blocks increase the rigidity of the tire to ensure precise handling when driving at high speeds.
- Extra durability: Extra protection from curb damage
Available in 15 to 20-inch sizes, the GT Radial Champiro UHP A/S tires offer a wide range of tire sizes to choose from.

Bought these to run on the rear of my Lancer in the winter. Didn't ever have one issue where these made me feel unsafe. I've considered buying a complete set of 4 to run spring/summer time next year.

These were some good tires for Chevy Malibu
Only had a short time so don't know about tread life. Also, in Florida so may never know how they handle snow and ice. Good price, good tires.
Awesome tires
I've only had these tires for a few days but I really like them. They're on my 2012 Acura TL SH-AWD (19 inch). I previously had Goodyear tires and when I shopped around for all the more well known brands, the prices were much higher. Since I'm not sure how much longer I'll be keeping the car, I really didn't want to spend a lot on tires. After reading reviews on these tires I decided to give them a try. A couple of tire shop owners even tried to convince me not to get these either because they hadn't heard of them or one guy even suggested that there was no warranty on them! Quite the contrary, they do come with a pretty good warranty actually. Anyways, I haven't driven them in the rain yet but the dry handling and overall handling is better than average (and better than my old Goodyear tires). No excessive road noise, which I know others have mentioned but that has not been my experience. I will try to update after I've had them on for a while.
After waiting a month for the last tire, the tread is already wearing out the side.I would NOT recommend these tires!
Awesome ! Great in the wet and dry! Much improved gas mileage too! For the money everyone should look into these tires. Infinatly better then the UHP Dunlop tires I had before and less then half the price!
