The GT Radial Champiro Touring A/S is an all-season tire that is designed for use on modern passenger cars and crossovers. It offers precise handling and control as well as a quiet and comfortable ride. However, is it the best tire for your vehicle and price range? Let's take a look at a Champiro Touring A/S review, which will help you decide whether it's the right tire for you.

    Features and Benefits

The Champiro Touring A/S from GT Radial is designed for vehicles like coupes, sedans, CUVs, SUVs, and minivans, and has many features that are of interest to drivers of these vehicles. Some of them include:

Better wet and winter traction: Wide circumferential grooves improve wet weather traction while actively resisting hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from beneath the tire's footprint. Both improved hydroplaning resistance and year-round traction ensure a better performance all year. Improved controllability and steering response: The tread pattern includes large shoulder blocks and a solid center rib to keep the tire as close to the road surface as possible at all times. This greatly improves the model's controllability and maneuverability. Moreover, the solid center rib improves steering response and driving stability. As a result, the tire's structure is stabilized against driving pressure, and the steering becomes more responsive to the driver's commands. Increased grip: Champiro Touring A/S features full depth siping, which creates additional biting edges to improve grip in dry, wet, and light snow conditions. Enhanced grip and biting edges offer performance throughout the season. By increasing the number of biting edges that grip the road surface, the larger shoulder tread blocks improve cornering and maneuverability. This combination of improvements ensures a better driving experience in all-weather conditions. Noise-free ride: A variable pitch tread design provides a quiet and comfortable driving experience. While the tires are in motion, the pitch sequence manages to cancel out the road noise. It generates a sound frequency that cancels out the road noise produced during the drive and reduces the level of road noise heard in the vehicle's cabin. In brief, you can enjoy a pleasant, noise-free drive Extra durability: The Champiro Touring A/S has a specially designed sidewall and built-in-rim protector that protects and guards the rim from accidental curb damage.

    Pros and Cons

Are they the best fit for your car? Before giving our final opinion, let's first look at its Pros and Cons.

    • Asymmetric tread pattern for improved wet traction and dry grip.
    • Manufacturer's limited tread life warranty of 60,000 miles, or 30,000 miles for rear of split fitments
    • Four circumferential grooves divert rainwater to lower the risk of hydroplaning in wet conditions
    • A dense network of sipes, as well as hair-thin slits in the tread, that improve traction year-round
    • Responsive handling and cornering stability
    • Smooth, quiet ride

Despite the fact that the Champiro Touring A/S has all of these qualities and advantages, some drivers may not prefer these tires because:

    • You may have issues with this tire's grip in deep snow, ice, or hard-pack. In 2-3 inches of snow, the additional sipes help with traction; however, when the snow is deep or becomes icy, this tire may struggle.

SimpleTire’s view on GT Radial Champiro Touring A/S tires

If you need an all-season touring tire, the GT Radial Champiro Touring A/S Tire is a great option. In comparison to the Laufenn G FIT AS LH41, Nexen N’Priz AH5, and Starfire Solarus AS, the GT Radial Champiro Touring A/S provides better traction, handling, and performance all year. The GT Radial Champiro Touring A/S is less expensive than the Laufenn G FIT AS LH41 and has the same warranty, while it is less expensive than the Nexen N' Priz AH5 and Starfire Solarus AS but has a longer warranty. Overall, the Champiro Touring A/S is a nice choice in an all-season tire due to its lower cost and good performance.

Vehicles the GT Radial Champiro Touring A/S is a good replacement tire for

Even though it isn't used as original equipment, the Champiro Touring A/S is still a great replacement for cars like the Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, Chrysler Pacifica, Ford Escape, Nissan Altima, and Chevrolet Cruze.

Took a chance on these relatively unknown brand tires. I have been pleasantly surprised, they are extremely quiet and are wearing very equal. I haven't tried them in the winter yet, but have no doubt they will do well. Very impressed with the quality.

I consider myself very critical of the tires I've had on my cars. To this I can say these tires have exceeded my expectations to this point. I mount my own tires and these required very little balance weights. Excellent dry and wet traction and most important to me they are very quiet. Have not used in snow and won't because I switch to snow tires for winter. Will be buying for my other cars when they need tires.

I purchased these tires after reading reviews on Simple Tire and am so glad I did! I have a BMW 328i and the tires are great. I've been able to drive on them for quite a bit now and have no complaints. I did slide a little bit just after the new tires were installed in rainy wet conditions. It has only happened once and I did go to a fast speed to turn left pretty fast. Not sure if new tires need to break in a bit. The purchase and installation were smooth. I bought 4 tires and had a Simple Tire installer install them. The process was quick and fast and very affordable. A little less than double what BMW wanted to charge. I will be purchasing tires in the future from Simple Tire!
