The Goodyear Ultra Grip Performance 3 is a winter tire that's designed for low rolling resistance and a quiet, refined ride as well as unbeatable winter traction. The Ultra Grip Performance 3 features a specialized rubber compound that stays flexible in subfreezing weather, a directional winter tread with sweeping grooves and a dense network of sipes for winter traction, and notches that are designed to displace standing water to the outside of the tire to resist hydroplaning. As a winter tire, the Ultra Grip Performance 3 should not be used when temperatures are consistently above 45 degrees Fahrenheit.
