I bought these replacement tires for my 2019 RAM 1500 Laramie. The original tires that came with the truck wore out in less than 30,000 miles and I'm 55, so my burnout and speeding days are over. The General Grabber tires are quiet, provide good traction in any condition, and seem to be wearing much better than the original tires did. I'm putting them on my wife's 2018 Grand Cherokee.
Good all around tires, made my pickup handle like a sports car!
Great tire. I wish General would bring them back. They are big heavy tires, but super durable, and great in the south west of the US. I don't drive in snow or rain much, so not a lot of input in those areas, but if you are in a wide range of terrain in the deserts of NV, CA, and AZ, they are great.
Great tires.
Purchased a set of General Grabbers for my Dodge 3/4 ton, and they're great tires! I live on the side of a mountain, and I have to plow a very steep 200 foot driveway. The Grabbers have great traction on my steep driveway, and I'd highly recommend them for snow use. They have excellent traction in the rain, sharp looking on the truck, and wear very, very well. I love these tires and plan to buy another set as soon as these wear out!
These have been fantastic. With rotation they haven't worn too fast. Great in the desert and quiet on roads.
Great tire! Too bad General changed this design, as it is a great all around tire for Southern California. They are heavy, and noisy but what good off road tire isn't? The red letter on the side wall looks great on a black JKU and has garnered some good comments. Buying them from Simple Tire was seamless, and very easy. The tires were delivered to a local installer and were on the rims, and driving down the road in no time. I will defiantly buy my tires this way in the future.
Have a lot of miles on the tires almost to the tread wear marks and still will go through almost anything great in sand snow and they ride nice on the roads you can hear them when you are driving but it's not bad for an off road tire will be buying another set
I only have about 300 miles on these so far, They seem to be a good tire, These are on a jeep we only run in the summer so I won't be much help for snow perfomance..
Great tire second set for different vehicle.
Get technical:
The General Grabber is an off-road maximum traction tire specially designed for divers who are looking for superior traction, rugged looks, and comfort. Ideal for light truck enthusiasts, the General Grabber features a Strake & Chamfer symmetric tread pattern molded using the special Duragen compound. These two elements combined work together in order to stand against off-road challenges and on-road conditions. Enhancing its traction in mud, dirt, and silt are the chamfered lug corners which expose the edges of adjacent lugs. The strake grooves sweep one shoulder to another towards the tread lug-face. To deliver side bite and protection from puncture are the vertical-edge shoulder blocks with multi-angled sidewall protectors. And because it has Acoustic Modulation Sound Technology, it reduces sound waves which minimizes noise on the road. To get the most out of the General Grabber, it is recommended to use it in sets of four.
Features & Benefits
- Internal structure consisting of twin steel belts which are reinforced with spirally wrapped nylon for increased resistance to elements on and off the road
- General Tire's Acoustic Modulation Technology for reduced noise on the road and overall comfort for your passengers
- Branded with M+S symbol which means you can drive it in deep snow
