  • Based in Akron, Ohio, General Tire is a household name thanks to its vast legacy of manufacturing a variety of tires for passenger cars, SUVs, light trucks, commercial, and OTR vehicles. A subsidiary of Continental, it produces tires in different categories like all-season, all-terrain, all-weather, winter, summer, mud terrain, and UHP.

Launched in 2018, the G-Max Justice belongs to its high-speed pursuit, summer tire line specially designed for government and law enforcement vehicles such as the Dodge Charger Pursuit, Chevrolet Impala Police and Tahoe PPV, Chevrolet Caprice PPV, and Ford’s Police Interceptor Sedan and Utility.

The asymmetric tread pattern of the G-Max Justice offers excellent grip and traction at high speeds along with even wear. Circumferential and lateral grooves help in eliminating water from the surface to avoid the risk of hydroplaning, while connected grooves and multiple sipes improve their dry and wet performance on paved roads. At high speeds, the tread nicely interlocks with the surface to provide enhanced stability and precise handling. The use of StabiliTREAD technology ensures reduced stress that ultimately leads to improved service life and enhanced performance in challenging conditions.

So, does it have enough to rule the roost? Let’s delve into details to know more about it in the General G-Max Justice tire review.

    Features and Benefits

UHP tires are engineered to offer superior grip and traction and excellent high performance on paved roads. They offer great handling and stability besides confident cornering.

    • Reassuring grip and performance – The asymmetric tread pattern of the tire ensures there is solid grip and traction at high speeds in warmer conditions with no uneven wear. The four longitudinal grooves quickly push water out of the tread to resist hydroplaning while lateral grooves on shoulders boost its cornering performance.
    • Nice handling and stability – The continuous center rib ensures there is improved steering responsiveness with better maneuverability. Additionally, the solid shoulder design with lateral grooves not only aids in boosting overall grip but also improves straight-line stability.
    • Extra durability – Packed with the StabiliTREAD technology, the G-Max Justice reduces the driving pressure on tread blocks which resists uneven wear and extends the service life of the tread. The special silica compound used ensures there is excellent wearability.

    Pros and Cons

While there are a lot of positives about the G-Max Justice, it carries some negatives too. Let’s have a look at them before summing up this General G-Max Justice review.

    Pros

    • Four circumferential grooves for quick water dispersal
    • Ribbed pattern for added stability
    • Continuous center rib for better steering responsiveness
    • Solid shoulders with lateral grooves provide enhanced cornering abilities
    • StabiliTREAD technology for optimized driving pressure distribution for prolonged tread life
    • Special rubber compound for even wear

    Cons

    • It doesn’t come with manufacturer’s warranty
    • It cannot be driven in wintry conditions or when the temperatures are consistently below 45 degrees Fahrenheit.
    • It should not be used for off-road driving.

Wow I must say! These will be the only tires I buy for our suv period. The grip and handling around curves is unmatched! Designed for law enforcement for high speed pursuits so you know they work. I have looked at so many police cars to see if they run these and I've seen alot with them especially suvs.
