  • Established in 2003, Fullway is a subsidiary of Chinese tire maker Qingdao FullRun Tire and Rubber Company and is based in Qingdao. Fullway manufactures tires for passenger cars, CUVs, SUVs, light trucks, and trailers under different categories which include all-season, performance, and touring. Among its high-performance tire range is the Fullway HP108 which features improved durability and high-speed performance in dry and wet conditions.

The Fullway HP108 uses a special compound and an asymmetric tread pattern that help improve its high-speed handling, stability, longevity, noise levels, and grip on dry and wet surfaces. Despite being a budget tire, the HP108 does well in tackling various challenges of paved roads and delivers satisfying performance in the end. The combination of angled and circumferential grooves aids the Fullway tire in resisting hydroplaning and returning confident drive. It is available in a wide range of tire sizes from 14 to 26 inches.

So, how well does the tire perform on paved roads? Let’s try to find out in this Fullway HP108 tire review. Keep reading.

    Features and Benefits

A performance summer tire is engineered to deliver consistent grip and traction at high speeds with excellent handling and stability on paved roads in warm weather. The HP108 too does the same at a, surprisingly, lower price.

    • Solid grip and performance – The use of a summer tread compound with an asymmetric design allows enhanced traction on the road as the tread blocks seamlessly interlock with the road surface to deliver a composed and confident ride quality. Wide circumferential grooves and angled grooves promote quick water removal to negate the chances of hydroplaning and regain traction on wet surfaces.
    • Good stability and handling – The continuous strong center rib ensures there is improved stability and precise response to steering inputs. The angled and lateral grooves on the shoulders boost high-speed handling while also ensuring gradual, even wear. The solid shoulder pattern improves its cornering abilities too. The asymmetric tread pattern not only lends grip but also improves handling and stability.
    • Lower noise and vibration – An optimized tread design lowers road noise and vibration to deliver a quiet and comfortable ride for occupants. From the large footprint, the Fullway tire diverts airwaves and prevents them from coming in contact with the tread elements. Hence, sound wave formation is resisted by the tread leading to a quiet ride.

    Pros and Cons

Like any other tire, Fullway HP108 too comes with its share of advantages and disadvantages. Let’s have a look at the pros and cons before summing up the Fullway HP108 review.

    • Cannot be used off-road

SimpleTire’s view on Fullway HP108 tires

To sum up, the Fullway HP108 (starts around $60) tire offers adequate handling, stability, performance, grip, and traction on highways. While longevity could be a concern, you still get high-performance tires at a very cheap price.

It competes with the likes Federal Formoza FD2 (starts around $98), Westlake SA07 Sport (starts around $73), and Radar RPX900 (starts around $72).

Vehicles the Fullway HP108 is a good replacement tire for

While Fullway HP108 isn’t an OE-fitted tire, it does serve as a ‘cheap and best’ replacement tire option for passenger cars, SUVs, CUVs, and light trucks such as Fiat 500, Ford Fiesta, Honda CR-Z, Kia Rio, Mini Cooper, Mazda MX-5 Miata, Toyota Yaris, and several more.
