You’ve no doubt noticed that pickup trucks, Jeeps, SUVs, and crossovers are everywhere on the roads today. They’ve taken over the space that station wagons, big sedans, and minivans once held as family haulers and daily drivers. A lot of those trucks and SUVs are equipped with four-wheel-drive, and while many of them never get off the pavement, you still need all-terrain tires to get the most out of that 4WD drivetrain.
The best all-terrain tires are the ones that don’t mean you have to compromise on-road manners, low noise, ride quality, and handling on the pavement to get the traction you need off the pavement. The good news is that versatile all-terrain tires that can offer the best of both worlds don’t have to put a serious dent in your finances, either. The Forceum ATZ is an all-terrain tire that delivers dependable, confident traction in mud, sand, gravel, dirt, or snow along with a pavement personality that’s composed and civilized.
So what is it we like so much about the tire, and what makes it such a capable tire and a great value? Let’s go in for a closer look with this Forceum ATZ review:
Features and Benefits
Here are a few of the features to look for with the Forceum ATZ:
- Advanced damage-resistant rubber formulation for extra durability
- Lower rolling resistance for enhanced fuel economy
- All-terrain semi-directional tread pattern with large tread blocks and innovative angled grooves for consistent performance on- and off-road
- Solid center rib improves straight-line stability, road manners, and steering response
- Wide grooves efficiently self-clean mud and debris so there’s always a clear section of tire to dig in
- Angled grooves evacuate water from the tire’s contact patch to resist hydroplaning in wet weather
- Tread pitch is randomized and computer-tuned to help keep road noise low by canceling frequencies and resonances
- High-ply rating for strength, durability, and a higher load carrying capacity
- Lugs wrap around from the shoulder onto the sidewall for improved lateral traction
- Backed by a 35,000 mile limited manufacturer tread life warranty
- Jointless bead wire for stability and durability
- Polyester casing with two hi-tensile steel belts, jointless nylon cap layer

SimpleTire’s view on Forceum ATZ tires
With the Forceum ATZ, you’re looking at a tire that isn’t quite up to the performance and design of top-brand all-terrain tires but it does come pretty close. On the highway or around town, handling with the Forceum ATZ is predictable and neutral (if not exactly inspiring), and ride quality and noise levels are right in the comfort zone. As far as road manners, the Forceum ATZ is nice and stable when pointed in a straight line at highway speed and doesn’t lose its composure on a washboard road or irregular pavement surfaces. The 35,000 mile warranty from Forceum is better than expected for many tires at this price point.
Off-road, the Forceum ATZ is durable enough to handle rough roads, roots, rocks, and obstacles with ease (and within reason). Traction in rough conditions is sure-footed and confident with easy control. No, the Forceum ATZ isn’t built as a mud-terrain tire or a winter tire, and it can’t be used aired-down for rock crawling and isn’t oversized for extra ground clearance. But that’s not really what a tire like this is intended for anyway, and for most drivers of 4x4 pickups, Jeeps, and SUVs, this is a tire that can confidently, dependably get the job done without requiring you to clean out your checking account.
Vehicles the Forceum ATZ is a good replacement tire for
While not used as original equipment, the Forceum ATZ is a good replacement tire for vehicles like the:
- Chevrolet Terrain
- Dodge Durango
- Ford Ranger
- GMC Yukon
- Honda Ridgeline
- Jeep Wrangler
- Nissan Titan
- RAM 1500
- Toyota Tundra

Comfortable and quiet ride. Handles well in dry and wet conditions. Definitely worth the money I spent on this set.
