Very pleased with the firestone Wide Oval AS especially for the price. I live in Colorado where winter traction is a must. These tire to pretty well in the snow, especially for an AS tire. I've always had tires just for winter, so I wasn't sure what to expect from an all season tire. I can honestly say that I will stick with this tire in the future when buying tires because of how well they do in every situation. The only thing I have yet to test is the tread life, but the tire does come with a very good mileage warranty, which is a nice peace of mind.
Great tires! Look great, tread is smooth and easy handling. Haven't had them lit enough to know the life span yet, but from what I've heard they give you a good distance. Probably will buy again in the future.
Great tire , looks good and rides nice and quiet. Hope I can find them again available when I need a few more .
great tires I would buy them again.
I am very impressed with the tires.
Purchased this tire for my 2012 Mustang V6 convertible to replace the OEM Pirrelli P zeros. The Pirrellis were disappointing, but the Wide Oval AS in 235/50R18 97W has been an extremely good tire. I mounted them at 45000 miles and will replace them tomorrow at130000 miles. Yes that's 85000 miles. I need to pass inspection here in Houston Tx and the tread is less than 1/8th inch and visibly cracking on the edge of the tread. Ive pushed them lone enough. Too far probably as the last heavy rain evoked a bit of hydroplaning. I routinely rotate at 5k intervals and run the air pressure at 40-42 lbs. That's more than the door sticker recommends but way less than the max inflation pressure stated on the side wall of the tire. My tires wear evenly even though one may think they are overinflated. My local Firestone dealer is amazed. I wanted exact replacements, but he tells me that they are no longer available.... hmm. He suggests the Firehawk Indy 500s as replacements.
I put these tires on my wife's 2009 Toyota Camry. The car is front-wheel drive with the 3.5 V6. Had problems with other tires shifted belts because the car has so much front wheel torque. She doesn't drive it like a granny she drives it like she stole it. Also I'm pretty hard on the car when I drive it to. So the tires are holding up very well and has great traction.
I searched high and low for this particular tire for my 98 mustang. All local tire retailers I visited told me they were not available. Thank heaven for Simple Tire. Had them in stock. Reasonable price. Free shipping (almost next day) Professional and courteous staff.
Great tires so far I would buy them again.
