Only had them for little over a month but they make handling, and ride much smoother and quieter. Highly recommend.

Falken tires are produced within a large network of certified manufacturing plants, including locations in Japan, Thailand, and the U.S. (Buffalo, New York). One of their most popular tires, the Falken Wildpeak A/T3W, is best suited for drivers of pickup trucks, vans, and full-sized SUVs and it is your go to tire if you are looking for a tire that has long-lasting wear, proven snow traction, and strong wet weather performance that maintains consistent performance and appearance throughout the life of the tire.
Additionally, this tire is USTMA and TRAC qualified for the Three Peak Mountain Snowflake (3PMSF) symbol. Backed by a 55,000 mile limited manufacturer tread life warranty on all sizes, Road Hazard, and 30-Day Ride Guarantee, this tire is engineered for adventure, any time and in any weather. But is the Falken Wildpeak A/T3W tire the right tire for you? Let’s take a look in this Falken Wildpeak A/T3W tire review.
Features and Benefits
All-terrain tires are great for traction on all kinds of on- and off-road driving surfaces as they are more durable and better on unpaved roads because of their aggressive tread patterns and reinforced constructions. Fortunately, the Wildpeak A/T3W is also known for delivering an excellent performance in wear, winter, and wet weather conditions.
Let’s take a look at the Falken Wildpeak A/T3W tire review to help understand all its features and benefits at a glance:
- Superior traction: The Wildpeak A/T3W features an aggressive upper sidewall that’ combined with offset shoulder blocks to protect the tire from rocks while providing additional off-road traction support.
- Deepest Tread depth in the category: The Wildpeak A/T3W has the deepest tread in its category, which provides long-lasting wear and boosts hydroplaning resistance throughout the tire’s life.
- Extremely Durable: The silica-based tread compound (silica tread compound) of this tire is molded into an optimized tread pattern that balances chip-and-tear resistance on coarse and off-road surfaces improving the tread life.
- High Torque support: 3D Canyon Sipe Technology supports the tread blocks under high torque conditions, aiding wear resistance while ensuring firm grip by biting edges on wet and light snow and ice conditions.
The tire features a black sidewall and provides great traction on dry and wet roads in addition to snow, as it is Three Peak Mountain Snowflake certified for use in moderate to severe winter weather conditions.
Pros and Cons
Before deciding to buy the Wildpeak A/T3W tire or not, let’s first drill down a few factors that can help you decide whether or not the tire is right for you.

While Falken makes a good claim about Wildpeak A/T3W tire’s performance, some shortcomings may divide opinions.

- Not ideal for use on icy surfaces
- Not available for use coupes, sedans, minivans, and some CUVs
SimpleTire’s view on Falken Wildpeak A/T3W tires
If you drive a pickup truck, van, or full-sized SUVs, you can’t go wrong with Wildpeak A/T3W for strong on- and off-road traction. Additionally, it performs well on wet and wintery roads, as the tread is designed for longer wear so that drivers can stay on the trails and roads longer. This tire features a Three Peak Mountain Snowflake symbol that makes it conquer severe snow conditions without sacrificing handling or performance. The heat diffusing technology in the lower sidewall is designed to dissipate heat when towing or hauling loads. Plus, a polyamide reinforcement ply is included for improved handling and high-speed capability.
Overall, this is an excellent tire that’s highly regarded in it’s segment and a great option if you’re also considering the Toyo Open Country A/T III. If you’re looking for a more affordable tire with a better warranty then the Nexen Roadian ATX might be the tire for you, but it does not perform or handle as well as the Wildpeak A/T3W.

I have only had these a month or so and have only been able to drive them on road, and on some dirt roads. No off roading yet. They are super quiet. I went from the stock tires on my 2019 4Runner Off Road Premium to these and the tread depth increase made me think I was gonna have road noise. But I can't really detect anymore noise than I had with the stock dunlop grandtreks that came stock. I possibly would have gone with the M/T version of this. Part of my thinking of sticking to the A/T version was less road noise, but these are so quiet I can't imagine the M/T being loud at all. However - but were less expensive, and have a great aggressive treat, and have the 3 peak Mountain Snowflake rating. I'm sure the M/T would handle snow, but it's peace of mind having that rating. This was important to me for winter driving.
I purchased these tires thinking they would be smooth and round. 3 of the 4 tires were so bad and out of round I had to purchase another set from a local tire store.
Haven't had them long enough to review them for winter weather, but they've seen plenty of hard rain with standing water on the roads, and have handled it well. Added comfort to the ride as well. Hardly any noise when running 70 down the road, not enough to take notice of, anyways. Overall they're the best tires I've ever purchased. Will definitely buy them again.
These tires exceeded my expectations which were already through the roof. I was torn between these and the fan favorite KO2s but I went with these and im glad I did. There is little to no noise from the pavement which is rare for an A/T, no slippage in the rain, and they ride very smooth for an A/T - almost like a H/T tire. 10/10 would recommend
If you don't care about fuel economy, these are great. I was getting 23 mpg before putting these on and am now lucky to get 17. They have a lot of bounce in them which isn't great. They are great in the snow and I'm sure they'll be good in the mud.
Amazing tires so far! Took them to the snow and they worked fine and even though you still gotta be cautious they have done great on ice as well. Would highly recommend! ??'????'??
BEST TIRES EVER! went through 3ft of snow no issues with 265/75s. barely any noise!
Using simple tire website was the best "getting new tires" experience I have ever had.
