Founded in Japan in 1983 as a part of Ohtsu Tire Co., Falken Tires is now a part of Sumitomo Rubber North America, Inc. It is currently based in Rancho Cucamonga, California and its portfolio consists of tires for passenger cars, light trucks, SUVs, CUVs, and commercial trucks. Falken is also an Original Equipment supplier to various popular automotive brands like Jeep, Audi, Ford, Chrysler, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Subaru, Nissan, RAM, Toyota, and Volkswagen. The Falken Azenis FK510 is the brand’s new-gen ultra-high-performance summer tire designed for sports cars, performance sedans, sporty coupes, muscle cars, SUVs, and CUVs. Various cutting-edge technologies have tuned the Azenis FK510 ultra-high-performance tire with impeccable capabilities. It is not intended for driving in cold weather and is optimized only for dry and wet conditions. But is the tire truly an excellent performer and does it have enough ability to complement your performance car? Let’s find out in this Falken Azenis FK510 review.

    Features and Benefits

The Azenis FK510 is a typical ultra-high-performance tire that’s used on sport and supercars in warm weather conditions and offers sporty handling and quick acceleration. The tire is meant to be driven on paved roads and gets a host of advanced technologies to ensure excellent grip and outstanding performance.

The Azenis FK510 features 4D Nano Design Technology that allows the compound to adjust in dry and wet driving conditions whereas its wide circumferential grooves evacuate water to resist the chances of hydroplaning and maintain excellent wet weather traction. The hybrid undertread cap ply along with aramid and nylon materials provide high-speed stability and added rigidity to the Falken Azenis FK510.

Thanks to the optimized void ratio and variable sipe depth, the tire has controlled flexibility and its tread blocks are also able to maintain overall rigidity for reduced stopping distance and improved directional stability. The wide shoulder blocks of the Azenis FK510 enhance high-speed cornering and lateral grip.

Tension Control Technology, which is Falken’s state-of-the-art casing, has the ability to mold its shape and provide a flexible middle sidewall for increased shock absorption and enhanced handling.

The Falken Azenis FK510 is available in 17 to 22-inch rim sizes and is covered by Falken’s Road Hazard Protection, which includes free replacement in case of any damage or technical error in production for a period of up to two years or up to 3/32nds of tread life. There’s no mileage warranty offered on the purchase of Falken Azenis FK510.

    Pros and Cons

Is the Falken Azenis FK510 a worth-buying ultra-high-performance summer tire or should you consider something else? Let’s first drill down the pros and cons before we conclude with our view in the end in this Falken Azenis FK510 tire review.

I've had these tires for about 20k miles on my daily s3 but about 200 miles on my fun car. The tires are heavier than the more expensive Michelin and doesn't perform as well but for the money/ performance ratio, it's the best bang for the buck in wet and dry conditions. 20k miles on the daily so far and it's about 4/32 tread left so I have about a few thousand miles to go. Will definitely buy the same brand.

SimpleTire easily beat out all other online vendors in price and convenience. I like how I was able to book the installation (also lowest price I could find) while purchasing the tires. Support was very good when I had a question and keeping me updated on shipping and installation status. Very happy with the whole experience.
