I used these on my daily driver 4x4 SUV (Nissan Xterra) for winter. While driving during a blizzard these were very confidence inspiring. I was able to pass jeeps and other 4x4s because my tires were out performing. In addition, off-road these tires do great. I've driven through mud around half way up the height of the wheel without issue. The only surface I haven't yet encountered is loose sand like a beach or river front environment. Of course with all all-terrain tires some sacrifices must be made. The dry pavement grip you will get out of these is not as good as a normal all season. Of course in powdery snow or mud or offroad situations these handily outperform any all season.
Let me start by saying these would be an excellent tire if you are mainly around town and NOT pulling a camper. They are made with a softer compound that really helps them stick to the road, but the trade off is very short life span. I was able to get 20,000 miles with about 2000 of that pulling a 5th wheel. They have more sidewall flex than I expected and have chosen not do use them again. Mine were size LT265/75R16 E
Awesome tires. Bought these to replace my 8 year old mastercraft tires. These handle great, a huge improvement over my old tires. They have a good appearance and preform above my expectations.
Designed for use on SUVs and light trucks, the Dextero All Terrain DAT1 is an all terrain tire that utilizes a rugged tread compound for better cut and chip resistance plus a longer tread life. An aggressive tread pattern improves grip on and off road while also forcing mud, dirt, rocks, stones, and water out of the tire for consistent traction, and the All Terrain DAT1's five pitch technology reduces road noises for a quiet, comfortable ride. Additionally, select sizes of the All Terrain DAT1 tire are proudly made in the USA.
