The Thailand-based Deestone Tire is the country’s largest tire manufacturing company, established in 1977. With exports to over 120 countries worldwide, Deestone manufactures tires for dumpers, trailers, forklifts, light trucks, ATVs, skid steer, off-the-road (OTR), golf carts, and more. Its tires can be used year-round and offer decent quality and performance without burning a hole in your pocket. Deestone D501 is an all-season, light truck tire that promises great traction, durability, grip, control, and performance.
Specially engineered for multipurpose and military trucks, the Deestone D501 features a sturdy carcass and reinforced construction for increased resistance to cuts and punctures while delivering improved performance on and off the road. Strategic space between lugs of the Deestone D501 resists dirt, mud, rock, and stone accumulation and maintains consistent contact with the surface for enhanced performance in dry, wet, and light snow. Additionally, its optimized tread area provides increased handling and a longer service life.
So, is it the right tire to bet on? Let’s have a look at the Deestone D501 tire review for a deeper understanding. Read on.
Features and Benefits
All-season tires are designed to offer excellent traction, grip, handling, comfort, and longevity throughout the year. The Deestone tire, too, checks most boxes of an ideal all-season tire. Let’s dive into its features and benefits:
- Improved grip and traction- The deep lug design and wide voids allow enhanced grip and traction on loose soils and paved roads. The self-cleaning attributes of the D501 ensure there’s consistent traction all the time.
- Enhanced durability- The sturdy construction and reinforced carcass of the Deestone D501 boost its heavy load-carrying capability. The spacing between the lugs resists stone drilling and protects the casing from unwanted damage.
- Long tread life- The cut and chip-resistant rubber compound ensures the tire is protected against snags, tears, and uneven wear, leading to longer tread life.
- Year-round performance- The unique rubber compound and optimized tread pattern not only provide increased grip and traction but also ensure even wear. Whether dry, wet, or snowy, the D501 offers adequate performance in different driving conditions.
- Great comfort- A continuous center patch is responsible for great comfort and stability.
Pros and Cons
While the D501 offers several benefits, it has some drawbacks, too. Let’s glance over its pros and cons before we sum up this Deestone D501tire review.
PROS
- Sturdy sidewall construction
- Tread with self-cleaning properties
- Great traction
- Reinforced carcass
- Good handling
- Great ride stability and comfort
CONS
- It cannot be used in severe winter weather conditions as it’s not Three Peak Mountain Snowflake-certified
- It cannot be used in pure off-road trails
SimpleTire’s view on Deestone D501 tires
In a nutshell, the Deestone D501 is a great value tire option for your light truck as it features enhanced traction, control, handling, stability, durability, and longevity. With a starting price point of $343, it’s a decent budget option to have. While an optimized surface contact area leads to better handling and a longer tread life, the spaces between the deep lugs allow self-cleaning. You may expect a study tire with a reinforced carcass for a light truck, and the D501 has both properties. However, the absence of a limited manufacturer tread life warranty is a setback for potential buyers.
With an average SimpleScore of 7.6 out of 10, it returns consistent scores of 7.2, 7.9, and 7.7 for traction, handling, and longevity, respectively.
Vehicles the Deestone D501 is a good replacement tire for

Great tires. Great service.
Bought these for my 1946 Willys CJ2A. They look great as original equipment replacements. The quality looks to be great for the price and they performed as hoped. I had been struggling with "death wobble" with my Jeep. I had tightened up everything that I could and was really hopeful that these would remedy the issue. I was very happy when they performed great and my vibrations went away. Very limited mileage, but still running true and straight. This is my first experience with SimpleTire, but I am very pleased overall. Shipping was quick and arrived in time that I was able to get these installed for a large group trail ride.
