Great tire for the price, rotate every 5k and they will stay quiet like the day you put them on. On my 3rd set and they had been great.

Among the few century-old tire manufacturers, Cooper Tire & Rubber Company is headquartered in Ohio and was acquired by Goodyear in June of 2021. With over 60 facilities for manufacturing, designing, technical, sales, marketing, and distribution across the globe, Cooper rolls out tires for passenger cars, CUVs, minivans, SUVs, and light trucks. The American tire company produces tires under various categories, which include all-season, mud-terrain, rugged-terrain, all-terrain, winter, summer, UHP, all-weather, and commercial.
Designed for use on heavy-duty pickup trucks, the Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT is a highly durable tire that offers great load-carrying capacity and enhanced resistance to gravel and dirt. With great on and off-road performance, the Cooper tire features rugged traction shoulders for extra off-road grip, Even Arc Technology for balanced on-road handling and treadwear, special whisper grooves for a quiet ride, and stone ejectors for safeguarding the tread. Additionally, select sizes of the Cooper tire come with the Three Peak Mountain Snowflake certification, which assures superior performance in severe winter weather conditions of ice and snow. Deep and wide grooves help quickly clear water, mud, and slush to regain traction and avoid the risk of hydroplaning. With a strong backing of a 60,000 mile limited manufacturer tread life warranty, it comes with a 45-day satisfaction guarantee as well.
So, is it the go-to tire for off-road driving for your pickup truck? Let’s find out the answer in this Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT tire review.
Features and Benefits
All-terrain tires resist harsh off-road conditions of mud, rocks, and stones thanks to their robust construction and reinforced carcass that provides the necessary strength to withstand challenging terrains. The Discoverer AT3 XLT promises to empower pickup trucks with the same rugged power.
-
Sturdy off-road performance: The rugged traction shoulder design improves the aesthetics and also delivers great off-road traction. The Cooper tire performs really well on soft surfaces and mud thanks to its all-terrain tread design and advanced silica compound. The tread blocks and deep grooves help in the quick clearing of water, mud, and slush and avoid the risk of hydroplaning.
-
Robust construction: The use of durable tread Technology ensures effortless hauling of heavy loads with protection against gravel and stones on the way. The presence of stone ejectors safeguards the tread from any stone drilling. Reinforced sidewall design ensures heavy loading isn’t troublesome for the tire as it efficiently absorbs the impact. The 10-ply construction further provides excellent durability.
-
Great on-road handling: The Even Wear Arc ensures great handling and balanced on-road treadwear throughout the life of the tire. The presence of Whisper Grooves Technology creates a sound barrier for the emerging road noise and doesn’t allow it to enter the cabin. Hence, you get a quiet and comfortable ride quality on paved roads.

These tires have a great ride not noisy and seem to handle good just have to wait and see as far as milage goes!!
This makes my third set of Cooper's and it won't be my last. These tires have lasted longer and have outperformed any other Tire on and off-road that I have ever had.
This is my second set of these. Absolutely loved the first set. Only tires that I've run on my cummins that actually have wet traction. Really wish they hadn't discontinued them.
I switched to this tire from a highway tire and was worried it would be loud. It was not loud at all. Smooth ride, looks aggressive exactly what I wanted, I would recommend these tires
A friend turned me on to Copper tires several years ago. The ATs are quiet and smooth and give me plenty of traction both on pavement and off road. They are aggressive enough for the trails and do good in the sand. I've used several other brands over the years and these beat them all. I would definitely recommend these tires to anyone looing for a great overall tire for their SUV.
Great!
Had a blow out on one tire hoping it will be covered under warranty. Only had them 6 months. Other than that good tires
Perhaps I received defective tires because the vibration and the ride is just horrible. I have taken my truck to 4 different places for balancing and an alignment and it still is just awful
I've had a few sets of these tires. I run them on a 2015 Duramax, 35/12.50r18. Most highway driving and some in sand & mud on jobsites. Towing on weekends, not too often. Also, they do great in rain and on the beach. Noise is not bad, and I can hear bluetooth calls no problem. Ride and comfort is great for tires of this type. They dont cup too bad, but I keep them rotated. Always had no issues balancing them. I do wish tread wear lasted little longer. They seem to do great for first 35k miles, then wear quickly for the next 5-10K. Usually 45k miles is all you can get out of them. Cooper is tough to beat.
