Founded in 1870 as a rubber manufacturer, Continental has consistently progressed in tire manufacturing, automotive electronics, and automotive technology businesses. Continental’s tire division manufactures tires for cars, SUVs, CUVS, vans, motorcycles, bicycles, and transport and specialty applications. Continental ensures that its tires are optimized for excellent braking, maximum performance, and enhanced driving pleasure.
The Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 is an ultra-high-performance all-season tire that’s designed for use on sports cars, performance sedans, sports coupes, and sport trucks. The DWS” in “DWS06” signifies the tire’s excellent performance in Dry, Wet, and Snowy conditions. But is the Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 really a performance-delivering UHP tire in dry, wet, and winter weather conditions? Let’s find out in this Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 review.
Features and Benefits
The Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 is an ultra-high-performance all-season tire that has impeccable capabilities to deliver superior traction in dry and wet conditions, alongside assuring traction on slush and snow. Continental has incorporated impressive new-gen technologies to ensure that the ExtremeContact DWS06 sticks to the surfaces irrespective of weather conditions, and serves as a right fit for popular sports cars, coupes, performance sedans, and sport trucks in the United States.
The ExtremeContact DWS06 features SPORTPLUS+ Technology that boosts handling and wet traction, and ensures longer tread life. The +Saline tread compound along with new-gen silica increases tread life and provides superior wet-weather traction. The internal structure of the ExtremeContact DWS06 features solid twin steel belts and jointless nylon cap plies for improved high-speed stability and seamless rides.
The asymmetric tread design of the tire features chamfered edges for improved grip in dry conditions whereas its Traction Grooves and X-sipes are engineered for increased snow traction. Wide outer shoulder blocks enhance steering responsiveness and cornering stability, and the longitudinal grooves of the ExtremeContact DWS06 ensure a rapid water dispersion from the contact patch, thus ensuring superior wet weather grip.
The Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 also features Tuned Performance Indicators, which are visible in the form of “D-W-S” letters carved on the second rib from the outboard shoulder. These letters notify the driver of the tire’s performance level. These are carved in such a way that first, the alphabet “S” is worn, followed by “W” and “D”. When the alphabet “S” is worn from the “DWS” marking, it means that the tire is not suitable for use in snowy conditions and is of utility in dry and wet conditions. When the letter “W” is worn out, it means that the tire can only be used in dry weather conditions and should not be used in wet weather conditions.
The Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 is available in 16 to 22-inch rim sizes and comes with a 50,000 mile limited manufacturer tread life warranty.

Great tires so far.
I've enjoyed the same tires on several different cars.
Bought these tires and, glad I did..Its a 50,000 miles warranty performance tire and, my 2013 Genesis coupe was a perfect match. Michelin would've been my 2nd choose but, they are a bit more pricey. I don't drive car in winter so, these will last a while. Satisfied purchase
I bought for Toyota Camry 2018. these tires are actually very good. I really enjoyed
Just put these on a 2009 Jaguar XK. So far I love them.
Probably the best tires I have to date, these babies grip on any surface or weather, if you're hesitating because of the price, don't even sweat it knowing you bought a great pair of tires that gets the job done at the same level of the high end tires.
I recommend these tires over all the competitors tires out there on the market!!! More then happy with my set I purchased. I drive a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8.
